He spends the rest of the day reflecting on his actions, haunted by the way he allowed emotions to cloud his judgment. When he recalls how Ona looked at him with disappointment, he realises he’s not only damaged professional relationships but personal ones too.
Later, Sandile swallows his pride and seeks out Nkosi. The two stand face to face in an uneasy silence. Sandile takes full accountability, explaining that he let Palesa get into his head and acted irrationally. Nkosi listens, clearly still hurt, but appreciates Sandile’s sincerity. Sandile then turns to Ona, who’s been avoiding him ever since the drama unfolded. He finds her alone in the design room, sketching quietly. With genuine remorse, Sandile apologises to her, acknowledging how he put her in an awkward position and failed to protect their friendship. Ona listens in silence, her expression unreadable. After a moment, she nods slightly, not fully forgiving him but recognising his effort to make things right.
The episode ends with Sandile sitting alone outside, reflecting on the chaos his actions have caused. Though the damage isn’t completely undone, his willingness to admit fault and make amends marks a turning point. For now, he can only hope that with time, trust can be rebuilt.
