The episode opens with Ranbir in conversation with Simran and Nimrit. Nimrit boldly declares that she’ll marry the man of her choice. Dadu, clearly displeased, responds with sarcasm, reminding her that their house has certain rules. Nimrit tries to soften the blow by adding that she also wants to work. Dadu shuts her down, saying she’s not allowed. Meher steps in, defending Nimrit’s right to have a career. She says times have changed and it’s wrong to force outdated rules on the next generation. If Nimrit gets married and doesn’t work, she’ll become completely dependent on her husband. Meher wants her daughter to have independence.

Just then, Bua joins them and hugs Ranbir. She happily asks him to promise to take her out again. Ranbir agrees. Harman changes the topic by asking how the trip went. Meher, curious, questions Ranbir about whether he met someone special. Ranbir mentions Meghla, and instantly, Param and Harman begin teasing him. Ranbir tries to deflect, saying they’ll talk about it later. Param then reveals that Meher has actually found a match for Ranbir. The entire family joins in, telling Ranbir about Meher arranging his marriage into a respectable family. Shocked, Ranbir says, “No, Mum…” but Meher cuts him off, upset that no one seems to care about her wishes. Ranbir tries to calm her down, saying he’s not refusing to marry, but just needs to explain himself.
Dadu quickly declares that the girl they’ve chosen is final, and Ranbir should just accept it. But Ranbir protests, saying that no one else can decide his life for him. He insists that his work is his passion and that his job isn’t just a job—it’s who he is. He tries to explain that there’s risk involved in what he does, and he needs support, not control.
This frustrates Dadu, who turns his anger toward Diljot and accuses Ranbir of siding with her. Ranbir speaks up for Bua, revealing that her life was ruined because of others’ decisions, and he knows the truth of what she endured.
Balveer tries to ease the tension by saying everyone makes mistakes, but Dadu remains stubborn, claiming he never did anything wrong. Dadi finally breaks down in tears, saying Dadu was indeed wrong and that Diljot could’ve had a loving husband and children if things had been different. Dadu snaps at her to be quiet, while Diljot directly blames him for the way her life turned out. Overwhelmed, Dadu quietly retreats into his seat.
Meher, still hoping to persuade Ranbir, says she’s already given her word to the girl’s family. She tells him that if he’s unsure, he should at least meet the girl once. But Ranbir finally admits that he already has someone in his heart. The family is stunned. He says he met a lovely Bengali family during his trip, and he wants to marry their daughter—Meghla. However, Dadu immediately objects, refusing to accept this relationship.

Meher speaks to Mahua on the phone, and Mahua has only good things to say about Ranbir. Meher smiles and says they’re coming to finalize the roka. Meanwhile, Ranbir softly says Meghla’s name, and Adrija has a conversation with Meher.
