Adrija overhears the conversation between Chandan and Mahua and becomes visibly upset. Chandan tries to reason with Mahua, but she stands firm, saying she will not support the marriage and will back Adrija instead. Nimrit chimes in, expressing her fondness for Adrija while teasing that Meghla still seems like a child. Harman and Param join in by playfully teasing Ranbir, and Nimrit also joins the fun, causing everyone to laugh. Meher then enters, mentioning she was cooking while they were all chatting. Harman and Param apologize, and Meher asks if they spoke to Ranbir. When Ranbir asks what she means, Meher reveals that Chandan came back to return a necklace, and although she tried to convince him, he wouldn’t listen. She says it’s good to see Ranbir happy, noting he seems to have forgotten Meghla and suggests he can find a better girl.

Chandan urges Mahua to agree, for Meghla’s sake. Mahua questions what Ranbir said to convince him. Chandan explains that Meghla has been with them since childhood, and while she isn’t their biological daughter, she has her own life. If the truth comes out, it could cause trouble, so they should try to get her married soon. Mahua insists she never treated Adrija and Meghla differently.
Chandan continues explaining the situation. Mahua worries about the impact on Adrija’s mental health if Meghla marries Ranbir, fearing they might avoid each other completely. Chandan says he has lost hope in Adrija because she harbors so much anger and hatred toward Meghla, even though Meghla does a lot for her. Mahua agrees, saying if that’s the case, then it’s Adrija’s mistake. Adrija listens silently from a distance.
Later, Meher asks Harman if he will share something. Harman hesitates but Simran encourages him to speak. Ranbir then steps in, saying nothing is finalized yet; he only went to talk to Chandan to convince him. Meher questions him, surprised because Meghla is just an ordinary girl and wonders what he sees in her. Ranbir insists she is special to him and explains why. Harman supports Ranbir, saying he expressed his feelings honestly to Chandan and tried his best. Param adds that he thinks the marriage will happen. Meher remains skeptical, saying maybe Chandan changed his mind, but rushing into marriage isn’t wise. She wonders if Ranbir didn’t find any other suitable girl. Ranbir replies that Meghla is simple and faces many struggles. He doesn’t want to hurt her and wants to wait for her decision. He says his uncle promised to let them know their decision and that he is willing to wait four or five years if needed. Meher watches quietly, while Adrija hides from Mahua.
Chandan reminds Mahua that she is a mother and shouldn’t be blind to what’s happening. Mahua worries about what they will do if Adrija makes a wrong move. Chandan admits Adrija is filled with jealousy and insecurity, which makes it hard to keep peace. He acknowledges her potential for drama and admits he fears she might even physically lash out at Meghla in anger. Mahua defends Adrija, saying she’s smart and intelligent, questioning if this is really her fault. Chandan replies that it’s wrong to constantly compete, and Meghla is focused on her own life. He mentions he told Ranbir he would inform them of their decision. Mahua asks if Meghla agreed to the alliance, mentioning Adrija was right in her concerns. Chandan tells Mahua to make the decision.
She says Meghla was willing to agree, but who can refuse Ranbir? Meghla probably didn’t have the courage to say no. Her real worry is for Adrija, not anyone else. Chandan insists Adrija is his daughter too and deserves a good match. Mahua urges him to decide. She admits she knows he won’t change his mind but confesses she can’t be happy about this marriage. She realizes that sometimes, even if you do a lot for someone, they can still hurt you. She glances over and sees Adrija crying quietly.

Dadu tells Adrija that Meghla has left and will never return to their home. Adrija protests, but Dadu insists she should be quiet and says she must marry a Punjabi girl. Ranbir overhears this and is left shocked.
