Saras And Kumud On Starlife Thursday 26th June 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Jugnu carrying an unconscious Kumud away, her face hidden under a ghunghat as Sunanda watches with a satisfied smile. “Be careful with her,” she instructs, making sure Kumud is completely concealed. Jugnu quietly takes her out. Sunanda lets out a laugh, clearly pleased with how her plan has worked. Kusum watches with worry as Kumud is taken away, helpless to intervene. Jugnu places Kumud gently into a car and drives off. Back at the house, Sunanda happily counts the money she’s received. Her men gather around, their eyes fixed greedily on the bundles of cash. She tells Kajal to distribute some money among them. Just then, Majnu walks in with Sheikh and slaps down a suitcase full of money. “We brought one crore in just 24 hours,” he announces. Sunanda’s smile fades immediately. Her eyes widen in disbelief. “What have I done?” she mutters. “I’m sorry, but you came too late—Jugnu has already taken Kumud.”

Saras, who’s been silently listening, is stunned. Majnu reacts angrily, asking how Jugnu could just take her away. Sunanda defends herself, saying she had no choice. “It was getting risky to keep her here. If I had known you’d bring the money, I wouldn’t have let her go. I dressed her up like a Rajasthani bride. They’re headed to Ahmedabad.” Saras’s heart sinks. He bolts out the door. Majnu grabs the suitcase and follows. Sunanda turns to her men and tells them to bring Kumud back at any cost. Elsewhere, Jugnu is in high spirits. Dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, he stares at Kumud fondly. “Forget your husband now,” he whispers to her unconscious form. “Be my bride when you wake up. I’ll make you so happy that Saraswatichandra will be nothing more than a distant memory.”
Meanwhile, Danny is tearing apart Ghuman’s room, desperately searching for the original file. He searches drawer after drawer but finds nothing. “Where did she hide the papers?” he wonders. “Can we really free our family from this mess?” His thoughts drift to Kumud. “I hope she’s safe. I’ll find that file no matter what.”
At the bus stop, Saras and Majnu arrive with Sunanda’s men. They spot a veiled woman and think she might be Kumud. Majnu lifts the veil, only to get slapped by the woman. He apologizes quickly. The conductor nearby informs them that two tickets were booked in Jugnu’s name, but he never boarded. One of Sunanda’s men gets on the phone with her and breaks the news—Jugnu has run off with Kumud and duped them all. “That’s a fifty lakh loss!” Sunanda shouts, furious. She tells them to apologize to Sheikh and return immediately. “Tell him he can meet Kajal if he wants,” she adds coldly.
Back at the bus stop, Majnu vents his frustration, blaming Sunanda for the mess. “This is your fault,” he says. The man replies smugly, “Was she your wife? If not Kumud, come see Kajal instead.” Saras, filled with rage, slaps him. His mind is racing.
Kumud finally regains consciousness. She finds herself in a strange room. Disoriented and scared, she looks around, noticing unfamiliar clothes beside her. She remembers drinking water before blacking out. Panic takes hold. She rushes to the door and begins banging. “Is anyone out there? Please open the door!”
Meanwhile, Saras tells Majnu, “Jugnu must be hiding her somewhere. Sunanda might know where.” They head back to confront her again.
Back at Sunanda’s house, they demand answers. “Where did Jugnu take her?” Saras asks urgently. Sunanda insists she has no idea. “Why would I lie? He cheated me too. Why would I take a loss?” she says, frustrated. Majnu doesn’t buy it. “He’s your man—surely you know where he might go.”
“I swear, I don’t,” she replies. She tries to shift their focus. “Why don’t you take a look at Kajal instead?” Kajal enters with a flirtatious smile. “I have diamonds with me,” she purrs, “maybe you’ll like me.”
Majnu snaps, “You have no idea who Kumud is to him. He doesn’t see anyone else. Just like Jugnu said—he won’t give her up.” Saras stares blankly, thinking hard. Where could Jugnu have taken her?
Back in the hidden room, Kumud is still banging on the door. “Where am I? Who brought me here?” she cries. “Where are you, Saras?” Her voice trembles.
Jugnu finally enters. Kumud freezes—she remembers him from Sunanda’s place. He shuts the door behind him and says softly, “Don’t be scared. I brought food for you.” Kumud steps back in fear. “Stay away! I know who you are. Go away!” she shouts, grabbing a vase for protection.
He puts his hands up. “I’m Jugnu. I won’t hurt you. I saved you from Sunanda,” he explains. “I’ve done wrong things, I admit it—I used to bring girls to her. But when I saw you, I couldn’t go through with it. When they made you sing, something inside me changed. She was going to hand you over to a Sheikh for one crore. I couldn’t let that happen.”
Kumud listens in stunned silence.
“I brought you here to protect you,” he continues. “No one knows about this place. We’ll leave soon—just you and me.”
Kumud’s eyes fill with tears. “I belong to Saras. No one else can take his place.”
Jugnu’s expression hardens slightly, but he stays calm. “I won’t touch you,” he promises. “But don’t cry—it hurts me to see you like this. I love you. I’ve given up everything for you.”
“Let me go,” Kumud begs. “I can’t live without Saras.”
He shakes his head. “You can’t go back. If Sunanda or Sheikh find you, you’ll never be mine. No one can reach you here. Just rest and eat. Soon we’ll get married and go to the city.” He leaves, locking the door behind him. Kumud stands there, numb.
Meanwhile, Saras and Majnu sit in worry. “I don’t trust Sunanda,” Majnu says. Saras, still deep in thought, replies, “She’s not lying—I saw it in her eyes.”
Just then, Saras gets a call from Kusum. She speaks gently, saying she considers Kumud a sister and knows he’s the one pretending to be Sheikh. Saras is surprised. “How did you find out?”
“Only Saras can cry like that for her,” she says. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. I called to help. Kajal knows Jugnu’s hideouts—but she’s clever. You’ll need to outsmart her. I’ll bring her to you.”
Meanwhile, Jugnu sits with Kumud and pours his heart out. “I love you so much. I’ve given up everything. We’ll start fresh, far away.”
Kumud looks him in the eye. “No. I will always love Saras. No one else.”
He smiles sadly. “You’ll love me too. I promise.”
“I will never forget Saras.”
“I won’t force you,” he says, “but don’t even think of dying. I’ll make you so happy, you’ll never say his name again.”
Kumud pleads, “Please let me go back.”
“You can’t,” he says. “If they find you, I’ll lose you. Eat something. Rest. We’ll get married and leave.”
She stares at him in horror as he locks the door once again.
