The episode begins with Prem sitting at a tea stall after witnessing a lot of emotional drama. As he drinks tea, he feels sorry for Anupama. Just then, his phone rings, and he’s shocked to see the name “Khalnayak” flashing on the screen. While paying the tea vendor, he notices a thread from Aadhya’s dress stuck to his watch and realizes it was tied by Kanha.

Meanwhile, Ishani receives a phone call and walks away. Anupama addresses the family, admitting that her daughter Aadhya is rude and lacks manners, but says that doesn’t change the fact that she has just found her after many years. She insists they should focus on celebrating her return first. Kinjal objects and accuses Anupama of defending Aadhya’s bad behavior. Anupama firmly denies this and urges them to consider what Aadhya has been through—growing up in an orphanage, separated from her parents, and now coming from a modest life despite being Anuj Kapadia’s daughter. Anupama says Aadhya’s harsh attitude is her way of protecting herself from more pain.
Pakhi questions why Anupama brought Aadhya home. Toshu asks why she didn’t leave her at the orphanage. Anupama challenges them—would they send their daughter Pari to a hostel? She says every parent wants their child close to them. She promises to fulfill her duties as a mother to Aadhya, even if Aadhya doesn’t see her that way or continues to misbehave. Pakhi says such a daughter should be disowned. Anupama sharply replies that by that logic, she should have disowned Pakhi and Toshu long ago.
Dolly intervenes, pointing out that Aadhya is adopted, while Pakhi and Toshu are her biological children. Anupama silences her, saying Aadhya is her Kanha, even if she sees herself as Yashoda. She then turns to Baa and reminds her that she still longs for Vanraj, who betrayed the family and left without a word, and yet she runs to check if he has returned. She says Dolly yells at Baa all the time, and once even injured her, but Baa still cares for her. So why didn’t Baa disown her children?
Anupama then confronts Dolly about how she constantly checks Meenu and Sagar’s social media despite Meenu not talking to her anymore. She reminds Dolly how she made sweets for Sagar when he bought a house—even though her daughter ignores her. Why didn’t she disown her then?
Turning to Kinjal and Toshu, Anupama points out how they don’t even like each other anymore but still stay together for their daughter’s sake. She says Kinjal even restricts Pari’s food though she loves eating. So why is it wrong for her to care for her own daughter?
She tells Pakhi she’s dedicated her life to Ishani, follows a strict routine for her, and even denied custody to Adhik when he asked for it. Ishani wants to go to Mumbai, but Pakhi doesn’t allow it. Should Pakhi let her go and disown her too? She asks why it’s acceptable for them to prioritize their children but wrong when she does the same.
Anupama reminds Toshu and Pakhi that if she starts listing their mistakes, the list would be endless. She questions why Kinjal is also distant with her now. She asks, “Who even speaks kindly to me anymore besides Bapuji, Ansh, Pari, Mahi, and Ishani?” She warns them—if she were to throw them out of the house or disown them, would it be fair?
She says all parents forgive their children’s mistakes, but when it’s her child who errs, suddenly it’s unacceptable. She makes it clear that Aadhya is her daughter and precious to her. She firmly warns everyone not to use the words “adopted” or “disown” again. She says children might turn their backs on parents, but parents never abandon their children while they’re alive.
Anupama admits Aadhya behaved badly today but says she needs time to heal and grow. She reminds them that relationships break in a moment but take time to rebuild. She gives everyone an ultimatum—if they can’t give her daughter time, then they are free to leave the house. She declares Aadhya will live there, with her mother, with full rights.
Later, Mahi, Pari, and Ansh try to comfort Aadhya. They tell her to give herself and everyone else some time and say they love her. Ansh adds that they missed her every day and that Anupama cried for her daily. Aadhya gets emotional hearing this. Meanwhile, Anupama quietly tells herself that healing won’t happen overnight.
That night, Aadhya sleeps in the hall. Baa watches her through binoculars. Pakhi gets startled and asks what Baa is doing. Baa says she’s watching Aadhya to make sure she doesn’t steal anything. Aadhya hears this and sarcastically asks what there is in this house worth stealing. They continue mocking her. Aadhya jokes that the only thing worth stealing is Baa’s swing. Baa locks it and walks away with Pakhi.
Aadhya begins missing her friends from the orphanage. She wonders what they’re eating and how they’re doing without her. Anupama lies awake on the floor, thinking how her daughter is finally with her after so many years. Mahi comes over, sensing Anupama might not be able to sleep. Anupama hugs her and says she’s happy Aadhya is back, but also knows she took her away from what had become her home. Mahi says it was Aadhya’s helplessness that kept her there.
Aadhya calls her friend Bubbly and says she’s having panic attacks, worrying about the orphanage kids. Bubbly tells her not to be silly. She says they always dreamed of finding a family and a mother, and now that Aadhya has one, she should adjust. She reminds Aadhya that she has no burdens now. Aadhya ends the call but still feels anxious.
As the anxiety worsens, Aadhya feels feverish. Anupama senses Aadhya might be uncomfortable outside and considers going to check on her, but decides to wait until morning. Meanwhile, Aadhya steps outside, wearing slippers, and trips. She remembers Bubbly’s words and starts fixing the scattered floral decorations at the entrance before walking out of the house.
UPCOMING
The postman stops Prem, inquiring, “Can you direct me to Krishnakunj? I have a delivery for that address.” Aadhya accepts the parcel and hands it to Anupama. Prem remarks thoughtfully, “This courier service has been making deliveries from Asha Bhavan for years.” With trembling hands, Anupama opens the package to discover Anuj’s name engraved on a delicate chain and pendant, accompanied by a sealed letter.
