Jhanak On Starlife Wednesday 16th July 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode opens with Ketki assigning Jhanak the task of handling dung, a chore that surprises Vihaan. He questions whether it’s truly necessary, but Jhanak quietly accepts the work without hesitation. Watching her, Vihaan can’t help but admire her resilience and dedication. He silently hopes that one day, Ketki might acknowledge and appreciate Jhanak’s efforts. Although Vihaan briefly considers trying to understand Jhanak better, he ultimately decides against it, unsure of how to bridge the gap between them. Elsewhere, tensions rise in the household as Shubh confronts Anirudh for abandoning Arshi during a vulnerable phase in her life. Anirudh calmly defends his actions, pointing out that Arshi has no objections to his leaving and warns everyone not to meddle in his personal choices. Bipasha and Laal try to reason with him, reminding Anirudh that Arshi, now expecting a child, needs her husband’s support more than ever. Anirudh, however, remains firm and turns the conversation back on them, pointing out their past failures in handling family matters.
Anjana sides with Anirudh, dismissing Laal’s attempts to interfere, which leads to a bitter exchange filled with old resentments and blame. Frustrated and disappointed, Anirudh voices his growing disillusionment with the family, saying he now respects Lalon—despite his rough exterior—for how tenderly he cares for Apu. The tension reaches a peak until Arshi steps in, trying to calm everyone down. She reassures them that she’s perfectly fine and urges Anirudh to go ahead with his plans. Even though Tanuja objects, Arshi remains composed and determined, expressing full confidence in handling things alone. Anirudh touches Anjana’s feet to take her blessing before departing. Shubh, feeling ignored, sulks over how his opinion carries no weight anymore. Meanwhile, Arshi offers a warm send-off, genuinely wishing Anirudh success. On another note, Mimi opens up to Rumi, sharing how her heart has changed. Where once there was bitterness, now she feels a new sense of lightness—love has replaced hate in her life.
The next morning, Sejal informs Ketki that Vihaan and Jhanak don’t share a room. She speculates that there’s no love between the couple. Though Ketki brushes it off as nonsense, her curiosity is piqued. Wanting to confirm it for herself, she storms into Vihaan’s room and is visibly irritated when she doesn’t find him there. Vihaan soon arrives and explains that he slept in another room because Ahaan kept waking up during the night, disturbing his sleep. Seemingly understanding, Ketki instructs Jhanak to sleep in the smaller room from now on so Vihaan can rest properly. When Jhanak tries to protest, Ketki cuts her off, saying she’s perfectly capable of managing Ahaan—after all, she’s raised her own grandchildren.
Ketki then announces her expectations for the upcoming Muh Dikhai ceremony. She demands that Jhanak cover her head with a veil and also learn how to make ghee, stressing the importance of upholding tradition. Sejal takes this opportunity to poke fun at Jhanak, hinting that she now has more private time with Vihaan. Jhanak is left uncomfortable, her expression heavy with unease.
Vihaan, clearly caught in the middle, confesses to Jhanak that he feels lost and doesn’t know how to handle the situation. But despite his words, he remains passive, making no real effort to support her. The episode ends with Jhanak standing silently, burdened by Ketki’s mounting expectations and Vihaan’s reluctance to stand up for her.
