The episode opens with Rihaan arriving at Vihaan’s house accompanied by his police team. The village inspector explains to Bhavesh that Rihaan received a tip-off about a criminal hiding inside the residence, and Rihaan immediately orders Bhavesh to round up all the family members. Hitesh dismisses the idea, insisting that no criminal would dare live in their house and suggesting that Rihaan must be mistaken. Not long after, Priyanshi informs Anirudh that the police have arrived, which prompts him to hurry downstairs. Ketki stands firm, declaring that their family’s reputation makes it impossible for them to be harboring any criminals; even the servants have been with them for years, she asserts. Despite her objections, Rihaan insists that his information is reliable, and the inspector demands to see the daughters-in-law and the servants. Ketki, however, refuses to summon them without reason, clinging tightly to her dignity. In the midst of the commotion, Jhanak panics when she sees the police and quickly hides, terrified of being arrested. Sejal, noticing Jhanak’s nervous behavior, speculates that perhaps she is guilty, questioning whether Vihaan might already be aware of something amiss. Although Prachi tries to brush off Sejal’s suspicions, Sejal continues to press on, convinced that the newest arrival in the household is to blame. In her anxiety, Jhanak mumbles that she will go meet Ahaan, but when Sejal advises her to come forward and face questioning in the hall, she retreats back indoors.

Babuji soon enters the scene and learns about the situation from Ketki. Determined to defend the family, he stands up for them. Anirudh then confronts Rihaan, demanding details about the alleged crime. Rihaan reveals that the search is focused on someone new in the house. Anirudh explains that the younger son recently returned with his wife and child, but Rihaan continues by naming Nutan and Jhanak as potential suspects. Praveen Kumar, however, counters by stating that no one by those names lives in the house, while Rihaan insists he is merely doing his duty. In response, Anirudh demands concrete evidence, emphasizing the unblemished integrity of their family. As tension mounts, villagers begin to arrive, showing their support for Vihaan’s family. Elsewhere, Mrinalini’s father visits Dadu and Dadi to discuss the upcoming marriage between Mrinalini and Choton. Although he is ready for the wedding, he sets a condition: after marriage, Mrinalini must continue living in her family home, with Choton permitted only to visit. Amitabh is taken aback by this demand, questioning its feasibility. While Choton tries to reassure him about Mrinalini’s well-being, the condition stirs friction and tension. Tanuja interprets his insistence as an insult, but Mrinalini defends her father, even as Choton doubts whether the marriage can proceed under such terms.
Back at the house, Anirudh orders Bhavesh to gather everyone. Ketki vows to confront whoever is responsible for this disruption, though Babuji intervenes to calm her down. As Bhavesh assembles the women of the household, Ketki methodically introduces all the family members while the inspector continues to scrutinize the servants—making it clear that they are searching for one specific girl. Amidst the chaos, Mrinalini’s father criticizes Shubh’s behavior, revealing his deep reservations about the upcoming marriage, insisting that his condition comes solely out of concern for Mrinalini’s future. His stern stance only exacerbates the tension, with Tanuja perceiving it as an affront. Mrinalini defends her father passionately, while Choton remains doubtful about whether the alliance can move forward.
After the family meeting, Anirudh heads toward Jhanak’s room. There, a trembling Jhanak nervously inquires about the police investigation. Anirudh gently advises her to introduce herself as Avni if questioned, reassuring her that defending oneself is not a crime. Despite her fear, he convinces her to put on a veil and accompany him downstairs, promising that he will protect her. Before leaving, he instructs her not to reveal anything to Vihaan yet.
