Mohit warmly thanks Neil for bringing Teju all the way from Nagpur, clearly touched by the young man’s thoughtfulness. Wanting to show his gratitude, he invites Neil to stay for dinner. Neil hesitates at first, mentioning that his family is expecting him, but before he can leave, Teju insists that he stay. Caught between his polite refusal and her sincere request, Neil finally agrees to join them. As the family settles down for dinner, Mukta lovingly serves Teju while Mohit quietly pulls Neil aside and tries to hand him an envelope filled with money as a gesture of thanks. Neil is surprised but gently declines, telling Mohit that he didn’t help Teju for any reward. He simply asks for Mohit’s blessings instead. Mohit, deeply moved by Neil’s humility, places his hand on Neil’s head and assures him that he will never forget this favor. Teju honestly admits that they were about to, and the two share a short exchange. As she stays engrossed in the call, Neil, noticing her expressions, jokes that she must be talking to someone special. Mohit, however, sits quietly, his mood shifting. Though Teju ends the call soon after, the atmosphere has changed. Once dinner wraps up, Neil prepares to leave. He says goodbye to everyone with his usual politeness and heads back home. The moment he leaves, Mohit and Mukta confront Teju about her trip to Nagpur. Mohit, visibly angry, demands to know why Rituraj ignored their calls and never checked in on her safety. Teju is stunned and asks how they even got his number, to which Mohit replies they got it from her college. Teju immediately defends Rituraj, saying he’s a busy public figure and must have been tied up with work. But Mohit doesn’t accept that excuse—he insists that no matter how busy someone is, if they care, they’ll make an effort. He reminds her that it wasn’t Rituraj but Neil, a relative stranger, who went out of his way to bring her home safely.
At Neil’s house, his family waits for him. As soon as he enters, they ask where he’s been all night. Leena guesses he was probably attending to a patient, while Rituraj makes a teasing comment. Later, Amruta shows Neil a selection of photos of potential brides and encourages him to pick one. To everyone’s surprise, Neil casually shrugs and tells them to choose whomever they like, making it clear he’s not overly interested in the whole process. The family looks at him, puzzled by his reaction.
Back at Teju’s home, she tries to talk to her parents, hoping to explain herself or soften their mood, but they ignore her completely. Vedant quietly tells her that this is their punishment for her—complete silence. Teju is left standing alone, hurt and confused by their cold response.
