The police officially close the investigation into Shoki’s death, finding no fault with Nkosi’s car. Nkosi is wracked with guilt and spirals emotionally, while Msizi quietly feels relieved the matter is behind them.

Msizi wants to celebrate the case being closed, but Vusi is weighed down by guilt and distances himself. Meanwhile, Mampho is annoyed with Ona and refuses to live at the Molapo house, choosing instead to stay with Soka.

Ona makes amends with Laz at the Collective Workshop and receives forgiveness. The next day, Isaac speaks to Rea’s photo, asking for her blessing before allowing Maria and her family to move in.

Faith becomes concerned about Nkosi’s unusual behaviour—he appears tired and speaks oddly. She searches his room and discovers hidden whiskey bottles, and Msizi advises her not to confront Nkosi directly.

Nkosi isolates himself in a hotel, drinking heavily. Palesa visits, but things take a dark turn when he hurts himself and lashes out, accusing her of being just as controlling as Ona and Faith.
