The judge grants her request, and Prakash takes the stand. Anjali begins questioning him about his whereabouts on the night of Shivani’s murder. Prakash replies that he had gone to Mumbai. She then asks whether he traveled by flight or train. Raghav interrupts, saying that this line of questioning is pointless since it has already been stated in court that Prakash flew to Mumbai. He accuses Anjali of wasting the court’s time, but the judge intervenes and instructs Raghav to let Anjali proceed with her questioning.

Continuing, Anjali again asks Prakash how he traveled to Mumbai. Prakash confirms that he took a 7 p.m. flight and landed in Mumbai at 9:15 p.m. Anjali then asks him when he checked into his hotel, and Prakash responds that he arrived there by 11 p.m. Anjali next calls Inspector Pankaj to the stand. She asks if he verified Prakash’s hotel stay in Mumbai. Pankaj explains that with the help of Mumbai police, he did question the hotel staff. He reveals that according to their records, Prakash had actually checked in at 3 p.m., and there was a woman with him in the room.
Following this, Anjali once again calls Prakash to the stand. She tells the judge that while Prakash may have booked a 7 p.m. flight, he never boarded it. Instead, he took a later flight at 11 p.m., reached Mumbai around 1 a.m., and then checked into the hotel at 3 p.m. that day. She claims to have confirmed all of this with the airport authorities. Raghav accuses Anjali of fabricating the story and begins to argue, but the judge quickly puts an end to their bickering.
Anjali then calls Deepika Sharma to the witness stand. She begins questioning her about the alleged affair with Prakash, setting the stage for further revelations.
