The episode opens with Saras clearly irritated at Kumud. Sangeeta notices and mentions that he left without having his tea, asking Kumud if something happened. Irritated, Kumud tells her to go handle her own work. Meanwhile, Anushka approaches Kabir with a cup of coffee. “Here, have this,” she says. He accepts it casually. She asks if he wants anything else, and he politely declines. Suddenly, he stumbles, and she instinctively steadies him. Their eyes meet for a moment, lingering in silent connection. “Are you okay?” she asks gently. “Yes,” he replies. She guides him to sit down as he rubs his hurt foot, placing a pillow under it. Handing him his coffee, she reminds him, “If you need anything, you have my number, right?” He nods. “Take care,” she says, and quietly leaves.

At the office, Saras is trying to focus while dictating an official email to Nikki. His thoughts keep drifting to Kumud, and he stumbles over his words. Nikki notices something is off. She gently teases him, pointing out he repeated a line, and senses his distraction. Saras’ mind drifts back to Kumud’s words. Nikki returns shortly with a florist’s card, suggesting he surprise Kumud with flowers. When she asks what to order, he insists he’ll handle it. Nikki smiles and leaves. Alone, Saras mutters to himself, realizing that Kumud might have misunderstood him seeing him drink and wishing he’d read the situation better. He picks up the phone and orders a bouquet for her.
Back home, Kumud is tending the plants, her mood heavy. “I’m sorry,” she murmurs to herself. “I’m not in the mood to talk today. How could he do this? Why did he have to lie? I didn’t stop him.” She glances at a plant she watered yesterday, frowning. “You need to grow fast, just like he promised when he gives flowers as a gift.” Memories of Saras’ words bring tears to her eyes.
Meanwhile, Saras waits anxiously for her call. “She can’t still be angry seeing the flowers… but she might not call. Maybe she’s waiting for me to call… no, I won’t call. I’ll go and surprise her.” He hurriedly packs his things and prepares to leave. Nikki appears to tell him the cab is ready. “Did the flowers arrive?” he asks. She confirms, and he thanks her warmly. Kusum is on a call with Kumud, trying to reassure her. They discuss how life in the city changes people. Kumud brushes off Kusum’s worries about Danny, insisting he’s just busy managing the factory. Kusum expresses fear that Danny might change, but Kumud remains practical: “The one who has to change, will. We can’t control that.”
Saras finally arrives home, hopeful that Kumud smiled at the flowers, only to find the bouquet crushed in the trash, the card torn. Anger flares inside him. Prashant watches nearby, grinning. A flashback shows Prashant intercepting the flowers, claiming he was a relative and destroying them deliberately, even pricking his hand on the thorns.
Returning to the present, Saras rings the doorbell. Kumud opens, unaware of what has happened. A heavy misunderstanding hangs between them as Saras steps inside. She offers him food, which he insists on serving himself. They sit and eat in silence, avoiding each other’s gaze. Eventually, Saras retreats to the bedroom, and Kumud, frustrated and hurt, reflects on how she feels wrongly blamed. Saras broods over the bouquet in the trash, while Kumud stews over seeing him drink. Both are deeply upset.
The next morning, Danny does pushups while Kabir counts. Kabir pauses, thinking of Anushka’s care for Danny. They talk about family, and Danny acknowledges that even though Kumud and Saras don’t get along, they must care for her because she looks after everyone. Kabir complains about his irritation when she’s around, and Danny advises patience. Meanwhile, Kusum keeps calling Danny every few minutes.
Kumud wakes up to see Saras leaving for the office. The distance and tension between them weigh heavily, underscored by a soft, emotional background song.
