The episode begins with a group of women bargaining for vegetables in the society compound. Kumud arrives and buys some as well. Curious, the ladies ask her where she lives. She casually replies that they’ve taken a flat here and walks away. Once she leaves, the women gossip amongst themselves, speculating about the previous tenant. “Isn’t she the girl who lived in Prashant’s flat? How did he give it to her? It was vacant for so long… and the girl disappeared mysteriously… she was so beautiful… who knows what happened?” Kumud overhears this and her thoughts drift into worry.

Meanwhile, Kabir is at home, examining his shirt and notices a button has been cut off. He suspects Anushka and complains to Danny. “Why would she do this?” he asks. Danny, confused, insists she wouldn’t have. Kabir grumbles that she’s “half mad” and that everyone is trying to push him toward her. Danny explains that she came only for a project and will leave afterward. Realizing Danny is truthful, Kabir concludes that Anushka isn’t trying to trap him. Hearing this, Anushka quietly leaves. Kumud, still thinking about the gossip, looks troubled. Prashant notices her and approaches gently. “You look worried. Is everything okay?” he asks. She hesitates but eventually asks about the flat, recalling the rumors. “Some women said a girl used to live here and vanished. Why did you give this flat to us?” Prashant smiles and invites her to his flat for a brief chat.
Once inside, he offers her a seat and something to drink, which she politely declines. He recounts the story of the previous tenant: she had repeatedly failed to pay rent, borrowed money, and then disappeared without notice. Though he could have involved the police, he chose not to, but the experience left him distrustful. Seeing Kumud and her family, however, gave him confidence to rent the flat to them. Kumud apologizes for doubting him, and he reassures her, accepting her apology. She promises that they will not give him any reason to complain and leaves. Prashant smiles quietly to himself.
Meanwhile, Kusum is busy with work when Danny arrives and hugs her. They share a warm moment; she forgives him for missing her call, understanding he was busy with clients. He updates her about new samples and rushes off to attend to them. Kusum notices a message on his phone from someone named Kiran, who calls him “darling,” and she wonders about the sender. Kumud checks her phone and realizes Saras hasn’t called since morning. She debates calling him but decides he should call her instead. At the same time, Saras is upset at the office. Rain begins to fall outside, and both of them smile, appreciating the first rain in Mumbai. Kumud rushes outside, laughing and enjoying the cool drops. “Our first rain here!” she shouts. Saras, smiling, recalls her dancing in the rain back in Ratnagiri. She calls him, sharing her joy. He wishes he could be there with her, and she ends the call reluctantly.
Saras uses the moment to explain the misunderstanding from the party night. He tells Kumud he didn’t drink, that he had a headache, and Nikki had given him a tablet. He went to the bar only for water and had asked Nikki not to tell her to avoid worrying her. Kumud regrets assuming the worst, apologizes, and he forgives her. Saras proposes they celebrate the rain and their reconciliation with a romantic date. Kumud, excited, agrees.
Back at the office, Nikki informs Saras that he can leave early and books a cab for him. Due to heavy waterlogging, he can’t leave immediately. Meanwhile, Kumud selects her outfit and prepares, full of anticipation. The background song “Mann Ke Dor” plays as Saras writes her name on a glass pane and kisses it, making her smile. He notices their photo together and remarks on how the rain isn’t stopping, adding to the romantic mood. Green tea arrives from Nikki, and Saras thanks her, while Kumud impatiently waits at home. She checks outside, hugs a picture of Saras, and calls him. He explains that the road is still blocked, so he’ll be delayed, and she agrees to wait patiently. Both spend the time eagerly anticipating seeing each other, Saras focusing on work while waiting for the rain to ease, and Kumud resting and dozing off.
