The episode begins with Satish growing emotional as he remembers Mohit. He says that if Mohit had been alive, he would have been the one to perform Juhi’s kanyadaan. His words carry both sorrow and bitterness as he adds that people often take advantage of someone like Mohit. Teju, sensing the tension his words create, urges Satish to stop. She asks him not to humiliate Mukta in front of the guests, reminding him that while they all loved Mohit deeply, that does not give them the right to insult Mukta. Aditi too steps in, reminding everyone that the day is meant to celebrate Juhi’s marriage, not to demean Mukta and her children. Even Lakshmi adds her voice to the conversation, trying to calm things down.

Neil, meanwhile, recalls Manjari’s words and decides to act. He requests a private moment with Mukta. Teju insists that he speak in front of everyone, but Neil stands firm, unwilling to be pressured. Deepali eventually allows him to go ahead. Once alone, Neil asks Mukta directly what she thinks of the proposal. Mukta answers without hesitation—she rejects it completely. She explains that she cannot ruin Juhi’s life for the sake of Teju’s future and refuses Neil’s proposal outright, saying such a marriage is impossible. Neil tries to persuade her to think again, but Mukta remains unyielding.
Back with the family, Leena turns to Teju and questions her loyalty. She asks if Teju truly considers Juhi her sister. When Teju confirms she does, Leena pushes further, asking if she approves of Neil as a groom for Juhi. At that moment, Neil and Mukta return to the gathering. Leena seizes the moment and suggests that if there are no objections, Neil and Juhi’s engagement should be held in five days. The Chavan family agrees readily, and Lakshmi proposes that the wedding itself be arranged for next month. The Pradhan family also accepts, sealing the decision.
But Jeetu is not satisfied. He pulls Neil aside and confronts him, pointing out that a decision about his marriage was made without even asking his consent. Jeetu urges him to stand up for his happiness instead of blindly following others’ wishes. Neil takes Jeetu’s words to heart. Later, he pulls Vedaant aside and secretly hands him a phone, asking him to deliver it to Mukta. Teju happens to witness the exchange, while Nandini also notices and makes a sharp comment about Neil’s actions.
When Teju learns of the gift, she scolds Vedaant for accepting the phone. Juhi immediately defends him, asking why he should be blamed for Neil’s choices. With Aditi’s support, Juhi tells Vedaant to keep the phone safe and hidden. Vedaant nods in agreement.
Still restless, Teju confronts Mukta next. She accuses Neil of crossing limits and demands to know why he sent a phone through Vedaant. She also presses Mukta to reveal what Neil had spoken to her about earlier. Mukta, however, refuses to answer. Teju grows angry and criticizes Neil, but to her shock, Mukta defends him. Teju stares at her in disbelief and asks why she is standing up for Neil. With quiet honesty, Mukta admits that when Neil first mentioned marrying her at the temple, she had felt a fleeting moment of selfishness.
Meanwhile, Aditi notices Juhi looking disturbed. She gently asks her what’s troubling her. Juhi finally admits her heart is restless—she is not sure if marrying Neil is truly the right decision for her.
