Saras And Kumud 24th August 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Prashant staring through his binoculars at Kumud’s flat, his eyes locking onto the crack in the wall. He frowns in concern, feeling a sense of unease he can’t shake. Meanwhile, Kumud is on the phone, her voice tense as she says, “Hello,” the stress clear in her tone. In another room, Badimaa is chatting with Vidyachatur, telling him how she was showing Anushka pictures from Kumud and Saras’s wedding. Vidyachatur smiles, noting that photos always bring back such fond memories. Kabir watches quietly from the side, listening to their conversation.

Anushka, sensing the nostalgia, suggests they take some pictures together, so that whenever she misses them, she can look at the photos and remember. Vidyachatur notices Kabir leaving and asks him to click the pictures of Anushka with them. Kabir pulls out his phone and agrees, capturing a few candid shots. As he focuses on Anushka’s radiant smile, he takes several pictures, subtly cropping out Badimaa and Vidyachatur to capture her essence. He frowns slightly at one photo and mutters, “Not clear… one more.”
Meanwhile, Saras and Kumud arrive at a restaurant for dinner. Saras points out that he has made a reservation. “Good choice,” Kumud remarks, smiling. “I chose it,” he replies playfully. Hunger gnaws at Kumud, and she immediately asks him to order something. Saras gently tells her to go ahead and choose. As they peruse the menu, their conversation flows naturally. Kumud asks about his work, and Saras smiles sheepishly, admitting, “Everything’s going well, but my wife stays angry with me.” They laugh softly. Kumud asks about the house, and Saras teases about the maid and how he only sees his wife for short moments at night. They exchange warm smiles, enjoying the quiet intimacy of the moment.
Their dinner is interrupted by a man approaching Saras. “Mr. Vyas?” he asks. Saras introduces him to Kumud, “This is Mr. Khosla, our biggest investor.” Khosla explains that he had come to meet foreign delegates, but they were running late. Saras warmly invites him to join their table. Soon, the discussion shifts to business. Khosla mentions a big deal, and they delve into work-related details. Kumud, sitting quietly, begins to feel left out, her smile fading. At home, Kusum is fuming, muttering to herself that Anushka was right—men can be deceitful. She notices Danny arriving and greets him. She inquires about his day, what he has done, and his work, but Danny is vague, replying only that he was busy. When Kusum asks why he’s late, he becomes curt, questioning why she’s interrogating him.
Kusum tries to sneak a glance at his phone, but Danny leaves quickly. Frustrated, she mutters, “He didn’t tell me he went to meet Kiran. Anushka was right. I won’t leave him and his Kiran.” Back at the restaurant, Saras and Khosla continue their discussion. Kumud orders food for Khosla too, though a pang of hurt passes over her face as she watches Saras attend more to the conversation than to her. As the dishes arrive, Saras urges Khosla to eat first and serves him carefully. Absorbed in work, Saras doesn’t notice Kumud’s discontent. Eventually, Khosla receives a call from his delegates and excuses himself. Saras waves him off, wishing him well, while Kumud quietly states she’s done and wants to go home. Saras looks puzzled, asking why, and she simply responds that she wants to be home. He calls for the bill, and they leave.
Once home, Saras gently turns to Kumud. “See, now tell me what happened,” he prompts. Kumud folds her arms, mildly annoyed. “Should I tell you? You took me out on a date, and yet I felt invisible.” Saras reflects on his mistake, admitting silently that he got so absorbed in work that he neglected her feelings. Determined to make it right, a small smile forms on his lips as an idea sparks.
He remembers her fondness for gajar ka halwa, though he is no cook. “I can do this,” he whispers to himself, flipping through a cookbook. He peels carrots carefully, muttering about the hard work women do to make even the simplest meals, and begins preparing the halwa step by step, determined to surprise her in the morning. Meanwhile, Anushka is immersed in her project work, stealing glances at Kabir’s photos on her phone and smiling. Kabir, in his own room, looks at Anushka’s pictures and can’t help but smile. He wonders aloud, “What’s happening to me?”
Back in the kitchen, Saras works tirelessly, stirring and following instructions, occasionally tasting to perfect the sweetness. “She’ll be asleep now… this will be the perfect surprise,” he says softly. Later, Kabir comes searching for food but finds nothing. “I should have had dinner. I’m starving… maybe something in the fridge.” Anushka walks in, teasingly asking what he’s looking for. He responds with a smirk, thinking of a playful taunt he had given her earlier. Their lighthearted conversation fills the room, laughter ringing between them.
The next morning, Saras calls Kumud to sit down. “I made something for you,” he says, presenting the halwa he cooked through the night. “And you won’t even share it with me?” He smiles, watching her reaction. Kumud tastes it, her eyes widening in surprise. “You made this?” she exclaims, savoring each bite. “It’s so delicious… how did you do it?” Saras chuckles, admitting he made it just for her. She laughs, shaking her head at his mischievous charm. “I can’t stay angry seeing your expressions like this,” she says, her voice softening. He grins, and she continues, “It’s your love in this, isn’t it?” He nods, and she finally relents, letting go of her anger.
He teases her about calling Khosla that evening, and she protests, but he laughs, saying he was joking. Across town, Prashant watches the scene, fuming silently. “Enough! I can’t watch this anymore,” he mutters to himself. Meanwhile, Kumud asks Saras to teach her how to make halwa too. Just then, the doorbell rings. She rushes to answer and finds Sangeeta’s sister, Shilpa, standing there to take over work as Sangeeta is unwell. Kumud gestures for her to follow, informing Saras about the same. Then she remembers the wall crack she wanted to show him and freezes, shocked at what she sees.
