Soon after, Pankaj calls with news that they’ve recovered CCTV footage. Anjali tells him to track down the catering staff from Yuvraj and Padma’s wedding—she wants names, receipts, anything that proves who supplied the food and drinks that night. While that investigation gets rolling, Padma rings Anjali herself. Cold and composed, Padma tells her she’s chosen to be selfish this once: a reception is planned, Yuvraj will come personally to invite Anjali, and Padma asks her not to humiliate him because he is still her husband. Anjali ends the call without answering, furious. Yuvraj, listening nearby, smirks, convinced Padma will shield him and keep him out of trouble.
At the station, Anjali pushes hard to question the catering team. A staff member names Ashok and Shruti as the servers who handled Padma’s table. When Anjali confronts them, both deny it; nerves and evasions ripple through the room. Vidyut interrupts, blunt and insistent—the catering company owner has already confirmed Ashok and Shruti were on Padma’s service. Under pressure, Ashok crumbles. At first he says they served only juice, but Anjali knows someone cannot be drugged by juice alone. Her frustration boils over; she slaps him hard and demands the police press them properly until the truth comes out.
The strain proves too much for Shruti. With trembling voice she finally confesses: Yuvraj had slipped an intoxicating pill into Padma’s drink and paid them twenty-five thousand rupees to keep quiet.
