The episode begins with Baa worrying that evening is near, yet the money hasn’t been arranged. Toshu says he tried asking an old client, but they refused to help. Baa sighs that it seems like Diwali will bring darkness instead of light this year. Dolly blames Anupama, saying misfortune entered the house with her on Dussehra. Just then, Anupama walks in and calmly assures them that the money will be arranged.

Baa questions how that’s possible. Dolly adds that it’s a lot of money, and asks where Anupama will get it from. Anupama confidently says the money will come. Pakhi asks if she had money all along and didn’t say anything. Anupama reminds her that both she and Kinjal also keep money to themselves, so they shouldn’t question her and should just relax.
At that moment, the kids—Ansh, Mahi, and Pari—arrive and offer their saved money to Anupama. She thanks them sweetly and says that for now, the problem is solved. If she needs money again, she promises to ask them. Dolly scolds Anupama for accepting help from children. But Ansh stands up for Anupama and tells Dolly off, saying she shouldn’t taunt Anu Maa when she already refused to take the money. He says he doesn’t have as much patience as Anupama. Anupama praises the kids, saying they’ve grown up with kindness, honesty, and empathy—things she failed to teach her own children. She encourages them to never let go of those values.
Toshu asks her to give the money so he can hand it to Jigar bhai. Anupama agrees but gives a condition—he must go and apologize to Janki behen and the other women he disrespected. She says she tolerated his behavior, but they shouldn’t have to. Toshu arrogantly refuses and asks why he should apologize—he’s the owner, after all. Anupama sternly replies that the workers aren’t servants—they’re homemakers with self-respect and can find jobs elsewhere. Baa says she’ll talk to him.
Later, Anupama steps outside and opens her locket, removing Aadhya’s photo. She’s about to take out Anuj’s photo when Aadhya accidentally bumps into her, and the locket falls. Aadhya sees Anuj’s photo and feels hurt, thinking Anupama kept only his picture because her love for Aadhya is fake. Just then, a jeweler arrives, and Anupama hands him the locket in exchange for money. Aadhya is shocked and asks how she could sell her father’s last memory. Anupama wonders why Aadhya can’t see her pain.
Prem appears and hands Anupama her house keys, saying he found them. Anupama asks what he’s doing there. He says he was taking photos of Kaveri and Gauri’s statues. He offers some emotional support. Meanwhile, Ansh observes Prem and finds him overly interested in Anupama. She asks Prem to count the money. He does.
Anupama then heads to Jigar and gives him the money. But Jigar mocks her and refuses to return the keys unless she pays six months’ rent. Anupama pleads, but he doesn’t budge. She walks away heartbroken, feeling crushed that she gave up Anuj’s last memory and still gained nothing. She reflects on her emotional distance with Anuj and the growing gap with her daughter, Aadhya. She had hoped this Diwali would be different with Aadhya’s return, but it seems just as dark as past ones.
Meanwhile, Prem and his friends discover a lantern shop. They flip the switch and watch the lights glow. He takes a selfie, not noticing Aadhya nearby. She stands quietly with Anupama before walking away. Just then, Aadhya overhears some kids begging a woman for money. The woman refuses and insults both them and their parents. Then she tries to underpay a shopkeeper for diyas. Aadhya confronts the woman for mistreating the children and cheating the seller.
She comforts the kids and says they’ll eat. She approaches the shopkeeper and asks him to feed the children. When he says he’ll only do it if she works, she agrees. He asks if she can sweep the floor. Prem watches from afar, impressed. He offers to pay, but she refuses. The shopkeeper agrees to her terms. Aadhya starts sweeping. Prem, still watching, says she continues to surprise him with her goodness.
Later, Aadhya makes sure the kids are fed and tells them to throw their paper plates in the dustbin. Prem claps and praises her for her kind heart.
Just then, a postman arrives and asks for Krishna Kunj. Prem points to Aadhya, saying it’s her house. Aadhya quickly denies it. He asks her to help the postman anyway. She takes the parcel and signs for it, not noticing it’s from Anuj Kapadia. Prem overhears the postman say it’s a good thing someone mentioned Krishna Kunj was occupied, otherwise it would’ve been returned to Asha Bhavan again.
Back home, Aadhya silently gives the parcel to Anupama and goes inside. Prem tells Anupama he saw Aadhya at the market and offered her a ride. He adds that the parcel nearly returned to Asha Bhavan as it’s been doing for years. He suggests she open it—it might hold something precious.
Anupama opens the parcel and finds a box with “Anu Tumhara Anuj…” written on it. Overwhelmed with emotion, she clutches the parcel and rushes away. She runs to the park, falls down, and hugs the box tightly, kissing it through her tears. Prem follows behind and watches, moved.
UPCOMING
Anupama says this parcel came to her after many years, delivered by her daughter. She reads the letter and looks at the chain pendant, feeling happy. The letter says that Choti is very dear to them, and he is coming. Anupama says, I love you.
