Gautam assures him that he respects him—perhaps even more than his own father—and asks for permission to speak in front of the men. Parag, caught off guard, doesn’t respond. Moti Baa, unaware of the tension building, expresses relief that the haldi ceremony is finally complete.

But the celebration comes to an abrupt halt when a man steps forward from the crowd. Calmly, but with intent, he says he hasn’t applied haldi yet. Anupama’s smile fades—she instantly recognizes him from the temple. Rahi, confused and tense, confronts him, demanding to know who he is. And then he drops a truth so sharp it cuts through the festive air: He is Rahi’s biological father. The words send shockwaves through the gathering. Rahi stands frozen, and Anupama stares at the man, stunned. Moti Baa quickly finds out that it was Gautam who invited him. The man goes on to explain that he’s been trying to contact Gautam, insisting that no matter what anyone believes, he is Rahi’s real father and he wants to attend her wedding.
Prem, stepping forward protectively, demands proof. The man calmly agrees to a DNA test, saying that while Anuj and Anupama raised Rahi, it doesn’t change the fact that he is her biological father. Anupama, furious, cuts him off. “A real father,” she says coldly, “would never create this kind of scene at his daughter’s wedding.” But the man insists he isn’t here for drama. He says he’s genuinely happy that Rahi is marrying into the Kothari family. Anupama’s anger flares, and she stands tall to defend Rahi. That’s when the man drops another cruel blow—he reveals that Rahi’s mother, Maya, was once a bar dancer, and that he was the one who used to bring customers to her.
The revelation shatters Rahi, who had never known this part of her mother’s past. She looks to Anupama for strength, but before she can process it all, Gautam shocks everyone by taking a stand against Rahi. Anupama’s eyes widen in disbelief. She never expected this betrayal. Rahi is crushed. But Anupama, ever the protector, refuses to back down. She tells Gautam and the entire family that she will fight for Rahi no matter what. Moti Baa, however, isn’t convinced. Her voice turns cold as she declares she will never accept Rahi as their daughter-in-law—not after learning about Maya’s background. Anupama pleads with her, asking her to look past Maya’s circumstances and see the truth of Rahi’s heart. She explains that Maya had no choice, that she was forced into dancing out of desperation. As for the man claiming to be Rahi’s father, he was never a good husband—he exploited Maya and abandoned her.
But the man, clearly bitter, accuses Anupama of rewriting history. He claims Anupama is turning Maya into a saint and him into a monster. And then, with a venomous smirk, he throws another accusation: that Maya had an affair with Anuj. The moment the words leave his mouth, Anupama slaps him, her voice steady and fierce as she defends Anuj’s honor and Maya’s dignity. She makes it clear she won’t let anyone twist the truth for their own gain.
Still, Moti Baa refuses to budge. She questions Rahi’s lineage and upbringing, saying she cannot accept such a girl for Prem. Meanwhile, Parag confronts Gautam, asking why he invited the man at all. Gautam, cornered, reveals that it was Parag who planned the whole thing—he wanted the truth out in the open. The room erupts with emotion and betrayal. Prem, overwhelmed, declares that he still wants to marry Rahi, no matter what anyone says. But Anupama, sensing the chaos, steps in and stops him. She tells him that they must wait for Moti Baa’s decision. “Let her heart decide,” she says, “not her anger.” Prem is livid. He turns to Parag and accuses him of orchestrating this entire scene just to insult Anupama and ruin Rahi’s moment. Gautam tries to calm him down, but Prem can’t hold back his fury.
