The episode begins with Moti Baa expressing regret over forming an alliance with the Shah family. Anupama, however, gently urges her not to blame their relationship for the missing sacred mat. She promises to find it herself. Gautam, still doubtful, remarks that while lost things may turn up, stolen ones are rarely recovered. Moti Baa seethes with suspicion, accusing Jhanki of behaving too much like a family member despite being staff. Jhanki is hurt and defends herself, but Anupama firmly intervenes, reminding everyone that Jhanki and the other staff are indeed family.

Moti Baa, unwilling to back down, orders Gautam to call the police. Anupama quickly warns against it, saying that such a step would hurt both families. But Moti Baa coldly declares that only the Shahs will suffer and even criticizes Rahi, further angering Anupama, who refuses to let her daughter be insulted. At that moment, Anil steps forward and reveals that he had the sacred mat all along. The revelation leaves Moti Baa stunned. Anil apologizes to Anupama for not telling her sooner. Reluctantly, Moti Baa instructs Anupama to get ready for Rahi’s vidai. Instead of gloating, Anupama turns to Jhanki and apologizes on Moti Baa’s behalf, leaving Jhanki deeply moved.
Later, Rahi privately confides in Anupama about her worries—how she will adjust to her new life in the Kothari household. Anupama reassures her with love and encouragement. When Rahi notices that something seems different about her mother, Anupama chuckles and says it isn’t her who has changed, but Rahi, who is now a married woman. With tears in her eyes, Anupama hands her the house key, symbolizing that no one can ever separate her from her home. She also gives her a handkerchief for moments of sorrow and a touch of kajal as a token of her love and protection.
As the family prepares for the farewell, Leela reminds Anupama to get ready, while Moti Baa scolds Anil harshly for causing the chaos. Ishani overhears their argument, which makes Parag uneasy. He fears Ishani may inform Anupama, but Moti Baa brushes it off, saying Ishani is selfish like Pakhi. Soon after, Ishani runs to Pakhi and reveals what she heard. Pakhi advises her to stay quiet if she wants to remain in the Kotharis’ good books. Though Ishani feels guilty for hiding the truth from Rahi, Pakhi assures her that Rahi is clever enough to deal with the Kotharis on her own.
Elsewhere, Ansh becomes anxious as the vidai nears. Prem consoles him, promising that Rahi will be fine. During the farewell rituals, Leela helps Rahi with the traditions, while Prem pleads with Anupama to remain by Rahi’s side until the last moment. Leela insists that Anupama should begin the vidai, but Prem interrupts, announcing that one last ritual is still pending. In a heartwarming twist, Rahi and Prem surprise Anupama with a birthday celebration. The entire Kothari family is stunned to learn that Prem had arranged it secretly. Anupama is overwhelmed with joy, embracing the moment with teary eyes. Watching her, Khyati quietly remarks to Meeta that birthdays are rarely celebrated in the Kothari household, but agrees that every person deserves to feel special at least once a year.
Prem then takes a bold step, emotionally declaring that from now on, he will call Anupama “Mother.” The gesture fills Anupama with happiness, but before the moment can linger, Moti Baa quickly shifts the focus back, ordering Anupama to complete Rahi’s vidai ritual without delay.
