The episode begins with Anupama and Prem arriving at Shishu Chaaya orphanage. Bubbly sees Prem and asks, “You’re here?” He calls her “Bubblechand” playfully. She corrects him, “My name is Bubbly, or call me Bubblegum.” The children affectionately call Prem “Laddoo Bhaiyya.” Vyas welcomes Anupama, surprised by her visit. Prem explains they brought toys for the children.

Meanwhile, Aadhya thinks to herself how everything is available online now, making tourist guides unnecessary. She notices the Gagwani men outside and quickly closes the curtain. Vyas mentions to Anupama, “You were supposed to leave last night.” Anupama confirms this when a baby’s cry interrupts them. Hearing children singing a lullaby, Anupama remembers singing the same to Aadhya. She asks about Rahi’s whereabouts. Vyas directs her inside while Bubbly adds, “She’s not here – probably took the shortcut outside.” Vyas looks confused as Prem questions how he knows Rahi. Vyas explains he found her on temple stairs during Dussera and brought her here years ago, not even knowing her real name. Anupama emotionally reveals, “She’s my actual daughter,” thanking Vyas for keeping her safe before urging Prem to search for her.
In another scene, Janki informs Prem about returned food orders making people sick. Other workers mention showing Anupama the legal notice, but Toshu rudely interrupts, claiming he’ll handle it, offending the staff who walk out.
Anupama finds Aadhya and calls her “Bebli.” When Aadhya turns, Anupama hugs her tightly, crying, “I’ve waited so long to see you!” She laughs joyfully, saying her “exile has ended” on this Diwali by finding her daughter. Asking why Aadhya left, she’s shocked when Aadhya violently pushes her down. Prem rushes to help.
Pakhi worries about unreachable Ishu while Baa suggests contacting event organizers. Toshu arrives with the complaint notice, blaming Janki for the staff walkout. Baa criticizes, “Everything worked when Anupama managed it.” Pakhi questions if they used the discounted spices Toshu bought, making Baa sigh, “This is why Anupama makes homemade masalas.” Toshu panics realizing the tainted food was sent to an important engagement.
Back at the orphanage, Anupama pleads, “Why break my heart again?” She argues a child can change everything except having one mother. When Aadhya pushes her away screaming “Stop, Anupama ji!”, Anupama insists, “I’m your living mother!” Aadhya performs a symbolic ritual with water, declaring, “I’m performing my mother’s death rites. You’re dead to me.”
Shocked Prem intervenes as Anupama persists, “Do what you want, but I’m your mother.” She hugs Aadhya forcefully, confessing her constant longing, unable to understand the hatred. Begging with folded hands, she pleads, “At least come home.” Aadhya screams she’s nobody’s “Choti” and belongs at the orphanage. Anupama insists, “Call yourself anything, but you’re my Anu.” As Aadhya storms off, Anupama orders Prem to stop her.
Vyas questions Bubbly about Rahi while Gagwani’s goons arrive, demanding immediate orphanage evacuation despite Vyas’ five-year contract. Gagwani smugly admits changing the dates.
Elsewhere, Toshu plots reselling the bad food until Baa and Dolly confront his disrespect toward staff. He arrogantly retorts, “Since when do MBA toppers need advice?” Meanwhile, Prem challenges Aadhya’s cruel “death ritual,” asking how she can deny her mother. Aadhya snaps that he doesn’t know Anupama’s “true face,” claiming mothers can be “evil.” She blames Anupama for her departure and father’s death, leaving Anupama shattered, asking, “What did I do?”
Precap: Anupama hugs Aadhya and says she has lost Anuj and will not go without her.
