The episode begins with Anupama asking Prem if he had taken everyone to the party. Prem admits that he did, explaining that everyone wanted to go and the event organizer was someone he knew. Anupama is upset and says that he lied by saying he was taking them to a satsang instead. She reminds him how she trusted him from the first time they met, and even more after Dwarka. She believed he was her guide and fought with everyone to let him stay in her house, where young girls also live. She says she gave him respect and faith and allowed the kids to go with him. Anupama questions why he didn’t tell the truth, especially after claiming he was responsible for them. She then turns to Aadhya and expresses her disappointment, saying she expected honesty from her as the eldest among the kids. Prem apologizes, saying that if they had told the truth, Anupama wouldn’t have allowed them to go.
Anupama explains that there’s a reason they stop them from going to such places—because the children aren’t mature enough yet. She says she only let them go because she trusted him, and asks what would’ve happened if something had gone wrong. She says it’s easy to call yourself a guide, but hard to truly act like one. When Prem says “trust me,” Anupama tells him not to use that word anymore because he clearly didn’t understand its meaning. As Prem tries to explain, she raises her hand but stops herself. She turns to Ansh, Ishani, Mahi, and Pari, and scolds them for lying to go to the party. She says that they were never stopped from having fun, but what they did was wrong. She tells them that Prem alone isn’t at fault—they all lied too. If they had asked for permission, they could have gone.

Toshu tries to calm things down, saying they also used to attend parties. Pakhi agrees but adds they never lied. Kinjal says they didn’t wear such revealing clothes either and tells Pari to lose weight if she wants to wear tight dresses. Pari gets angry, pulls her hand away, and says she’ll wear what she wants—it’s her body, her life, and her rules. Kinjal is stunned. Pari continues, telling Kinjal to stop controlling her. She says just because Kinjal isn’t happy doesn’t mean she can stop others from being happy. She explains that they lied and went to the party because they were told they would celebrate Diwali with the whole family. She questions when was the last time the family ate together or talked without sarcasm. She says the elders are unhappy and won’t let the younger ones be happy either, so they went out to find a little joy.
Pari then asks Kinjal if she ever talks about anything other than her weight. She questions if Kinjal sees a daughter in her or just a girl who’s overweight. She wants to know if Kinjal has ever noticed her skills, interests, or favorite things—her favorite color, food, movie, or actor. Kinjal guesses her favorite color is green, but Pari says it’s actually white. However, Kinjal won’t let her wear white because it makes her look fat, and insists she wear black. Pari says she’s a person too, and her feelings get hurt by the constant taunts. She asks if being overweight is some kind of crime. Toshu tries to calm her, but she tells him that he only lets her eat freely to prove Kinjal wrong. She says Diwali seems to happen every day because her parents are always fighting.
Baa comments that Pari must be drunk. Ishani steps in and supports Pari, saying she didn’t say anything wrong. She says this is everyone’s frustration. The kids are controlled too much, with endless restrictions as if they live in a remote village or are someone’s servants. Pakhi denies this and says they never stopped the children from anything, especially their dreams. But Ishani says modeling, acting, and social media influencing were Pakhi’s dreams, not hers. She says she stays hungry, forces a smile, and walks around like a doll. When Pakhi questions her, Ishani says she just wants to eat food made by Anupama and try Mahu’s cooking. She never even drank milk tea because she was too busy trying to fulfill Pakhi’s dream. She confesses that she doesn’t even know who she really is anymore due to the pressure of social media likes and followers. She says she doesn’t get a day off, and always has to put on makeup and a smile. She says all she wants is to relax, oil her hair, and watch TV, but that day never comes. Pakhi says she didn’t realize her daughter was so ungrateful, and complains that no matter what parents do, kids are never satisfied.
Ansh laughs and asks when the elders actually let them be happy. He says no matter what they do, there’s always some complaint. He tells Anupama that they love and respect the elders, but asks why they can’t understand that they’re grown-ups now. He says they still need permission to go anywhere, and if things are strict for him, imagine how tough it must be for Ishani, Mahi, and Pari. Mahi steps forward to speak her mind. She says she also has complaints but never voiced them because she was never given the right to. She says her father never accepted her as his daughter, and her mother abandoned her without ever checking on her. She says she’s always felt like she doesn’t belong in the house. Apart from Anupama, Bapuji, Ansh, Pari, and Ishu, no one considers her part of the family. She says she always loved and respected them like her own, but they never treated her as family. She tearfully asks when they will finally accept her.
Everyone is shocked. Pari asks why everyone is suddenly silent. Ansh, Pari, Mahi, and Ishani laugh. Anupama finally yells at them to stop and go to their rooms immediately. She shouts once again, ordering them to leave.
Baa tells Anupama to pay attention to what the children said—it’s all because of Prem and Aadhya’s influence. Toshu says Pari would never normally speak like that. Pakhi says the same about Ishani, and that Prem and Aadhya have corrupted them. Kinjal agrees, saying they’ve brainwashed the kids. Baa blames Anupama for trusting Prem. Anupama lists Prem’s mistakes but says the children’s words—even if said under alcohol—were the truth that they’ve been hiding for a long time. She says no one knew how upset they were. She suggests talking to the kids once they sober up in the morning.
She tells everyone to reflect on what happened tonight. Turning to Aadhya, she says she believed Aadhya loved all the kids equally—whether they were her biological kids or the ones from the ashram. She always thought Aadhya stood for the truth. She’s heartbroken that Aadhya supported a lie. She says she has always loved Aadhya, even when Aadhya hated her and misbehaved, but today’s actions crossed the line. She says if Aadhya is her daughter, then Mahi is her daughter too, and she won’t let anyone—even her own daughter—ruin the other kids.
Anupama then faces Prem and says while he brought her closer to her daughter—a big favor—she can never forgive him for breaking her trust. She says he can’t stay in her house anymore and asks him to leave immediately. She tells him she’ll send his belongings and asks him to wait outside. Prem apologizes to everyone and touches her feet, but she doesn’t bless him. He leaves. Aadhya quietly goes to her room.
Anupama tells everyone that while they felt bad hearing the kids’ words tonight, she has been feeling that pain for years. Her own children always questioned her love. She says others had only one child to understand, while she had four. Despite everything that happened, at least the kids showed them the truth like a mirror. She declares that tomorrow is a new year, and this new year will begin her way.
Prem drives his jeep, deeply hurt, thinking about what Anupama said. A sad song plays. Meanwhile, Toshu goes to Ansh’s room, removes his shoes, and makes him lie down properly. He gently places a hand on Ansh’s head. Aadhya helps Mahi and Ishani into bed, taking off their jewelry. Kinjal and Pakhi sit quietly, clearly upset. Prem is still sad, recalling Anupama’s words.
Anupama steps outside the house and overhears Baa and Kinjal’s conversation. The song “Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi” plays in the background. Anupama fills the diyas with oil and ghee, saying she won’t let these flames go out. She softly wishes Kapadia Ji a happy Diwali.
