Anupama On Starlife Thursday 24th July 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode opens with Gautam asking Parag whether they should launch the new Mumbai showroom before or after the wedding. Meanwhile, Anil tries to convince Prem to sit down and discuss the wedding plans, but Prem insists he’s in a hurry. Parag jokes under his breath about how costly it would be if Prem leaves, and Prem, catching the comment, reminds him he can read lips. Anil laughs it off and tells Prem to go and return soon. Just then, Ansh arrives, and Prem lights up at the sight of him. Surprised to see Ansh there, Prem asks about his visit, and Ansh explains he’s come for a professional meeting. Parag sarcastically reminds Prem he was in a hurry, prompting Prem to assure Ansh that he’s talented and will definitely land the job before leaving.

Ansh then meets with Gautam and Parag to discuss the possibility of joining their company. Parag quickly clarifies that they don’t mix business with personal matters. Ansh, sincere in his response, says he had applied for the job before learning Prem was Parag’s son and adds that he doesn’t want to create any problems for Prem or Rahi. Just as he’s about to leave, Gautam tells Parag that Ansh is quite skilled and was even praised by Agarwal Ji. Parag, acknowledging his talent, agrees and tells Ansh to bring his resume to the office so they can talk about the job and salary. Ansh thanks him and prepares to go, just as Khyati and Prarthana arrive. He greets them politely. Khyati offers to get something for him, but Moti Baa reminds her that Ansh is here for work. Ansh then leaves, and Moti Baa disapproves of hiring him. Parag confides that he only agreed to avoid upsetting Prem. Moti Baa is clear—she doesn’t want any more ties with Anupama’s family.
Later, Prem returns looking for his car keys. As Badshah runs past, a vase crashes to the floor, revealing hidden medicine packets in the soil. Recognizing the medicine he once gave to Moti Baa, Prem is puzzled. Parag suggests calling the doctor for a check-up, but Moti Baa admits she was only pretending to be ill to lure Prem back home. Parag is stunned by her confession and tells her it’s wrong. Moti Baa, however, stands by her decision, saying she couldn’t bear to see Prem live away from them. She even admits that she instructed the doctor to say those false things. Prem overhears everything and is deeply hurt. His voice shakes with anger and disappointment as he questions why people always play with his emotions. He says he was ready to start over with Rahi, but after this betrayal, he feels like he can’t trust anyone in that house. He makes up his mind to distance himself from the Kotharis after the wedding.
Later, Rahi arrives at a flat and wonders whose place it is. Prem welcomes her and says it’s their new home—a gift for her where they’ll live after marriage. Meanwhile, Gautam informs Parag about Prem’s decision to live separately with Rahi. At the flat, Rahi asks Prem what’s wrong, and he breaks down, telling her about Moti Baa’s deception. He says he wouldn’t have been surprised if Parag had done something like that, but Moti Baa’s lie cut deeper. Rahi tries to explain Moti Baa’s perspective, saying her actions were driven by love and longing, not greed. She hugs him and adds that Moti Baa only wants her grandson back, not his money or property. But Prem refuses to stay under the same roof as Parag. Rahi gently asks why he holds such intense hatred for his father.
What follows is a flood of painful memories. Prem reveals the real reason behind his bitterness—his mother’s death. He believes Parag is responsible for it. He explains that Parag emotionally neglected his mother, who eventually took her own life. The trauma still haunts him. He recounts how Khyati came into their lives as Parag’s assistant. His mother, unaware of their growing bond, welcomed her kindly. But young Prem, though too small to fully grasp it, witnessed the growing closeness between Parag and Khyati. One day, his mother confronted Parag and asked if Khyati mattered more to him. That led to daily fights at home. Prem says he and his siblings lived in constant fear as their mother battled depression. During that time, it was Prarthana who packed their lunch boxes because their mother wasn’t emotionally stable. Eventually, the pain became too much, and their mother died by suicide.
Rahi is stunned. Prem continues, saying that after her death, Parag married Khyati Patel and brought her into the house, without even consulting Moti Baa. She had no choice but to accept it. Unable to live in that house anymore, Prem left for boarding school. He says he’s been drifting ever since. Now, after seeing Moti Baa’s condition, he feels a little guilty, but not enough to return. He can’t go back to the same house where his mother died. He tells Rahi they will live independently after marriage. They’ll only visit the Kotharis if necessary and otherwise will stay with Anupama. He asks her to keep their plan a secret for now, as everyone is happy and excited about the wedding. They’ll have the wedding their families want, but live life on their own terms. Rahi is left speechless by all of this.
Back at home, Moti Baa is busy planning to redesign Prem’s room. She asks Anil to contact a designer. Khyati suggests they involve Rahi in the decision, but Baa bluntly says that after marriage, Rahi’s opinions won’t matter—only Prem’s choices will. Parag comes in and tells Moti Baa that Prem is planning to live separately after marriage. He says they’ve even contacted a broker for a rental. Moti Baa brushes it off, thinking it must be a misunderstanding, but Parag says Gautam confirmed it. Moti Baa immediately blames Anupama and Rahi for turning Prem against them. Parag agrees, saying they’re trying to take Prem away. Moti Baa declares they won’t let that happen.
UPCOMING
The Shahs and Anupama arrive at the Kothari Mansion for a wedding ritual. Anupama explains that Rahi couldn’t make it and stayed back. Prem looks visibly upset. Moti Baa asks everyone to place their phones in a tray for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Radha connects Rahi through a video call so she can see Prem. Moti Baa announces that since Rahi’s father is absent, Babu Ji should perform the foot-washing ritual for Prem. Anupama steps forward, saying she will do it on Anuj’s behalf.
