The episode opens with Baa asking Rahi what to cook. Rahi requests kheer for little Radha, and Baa agrees. Rahi leans in to whisper to Anupama that Baa and the others are like chameleons—always changing colors. Anupama chides them gently, saying the world may change, but they never do. “I’m Rahi’s mother,” she says, “yet in anger, she makes me feel like her child. You all should learn to change, or one day it will harm you.”
Later, while playing, Radha and Rahi approach Anupama. Rahi slips and calls her “Mummy” by mistake. Baa, watching Radha wander, scolds her at first but then switches to sweetness when Rahi appears. Anupama warns Baa to be careful—Rahi’s anger can be fiercer than hers. She decides Radha will stay with them until Shrishti recovers.
At the kitchen, the helper announces her departure. Rahi confronts Prem about his bad mood—he’s sulking outside like a jinx. Prem shocks her by saying he can’t work for someone who disrespects her own mother and even renamed the kitchen “Rahi Ki Rasoi.” He tells Rahi that Kanha ji insisted Anupama enter first, and sees that Rahi is wearing Anupama’s slippers. Hurt, Prem quits and walks away. Anupama finds him and begs him not to leave, saying Rahi can’t fly without him. Moved, Prem breaks down and hugs Anupama.
The next morning, Janki praises Prem’s versatility and worries who else could fill his shoes on such short notice. To everyone’s delight, they find Prem back in the kitchen. He grumbles that he’s very busy and refuses any lectures. Rahi inwardly vows to humble him later. She briefs Janki, Prem, and the other women on the kitchen’s new hours. Janki notes the home-makers will drop in after chores. Anupama and Mahi arrive; Rahi demands they sign the visitor log or leave. Mahi hesitates, but Anupama signs for everyone, urging them to get to work.
As tea is served, Anupama writes a note on the board. Puzzled, Rahi reads it and walks away. Janki warns Anupama that there’s a thin line between confidence and arrogance, and Rahi’s ego could endanger them all. Anupama prays silently that her daughter’s pride doesn’t drown her.
Suddenly Radha bursts in with news: the police have arrived. The inspector demands to see Ms. Rahi, reading her a fraud complaint. Rahi, stunned, smashes a glass in anger, shouting that life as an orphan was easier than this betrayal. Anupama shakes her awake—it was only a daydream.
Back in reality, Rahi orders the women to finish their duties and go home. Janki insists their responsibilities aren’t over. Anupama gently reminds Rahi that motherhood is a lifelong role, and suggests they all share tea before leaving. She also points out the Shrikhand in the fridge—made exactly as Prem advised—and Rahi nods approval. Then Anupama’s phone rings, and she looks shocked as she hurries off.
Meanwhile, Prem exercises in the cowshed. Mahi brings him almond milk, apologizing that he had to give up his room because of Rahi. He reminds her that he and Ansh offered the room willingly and tells her not to dwell on Rahi’s behavior. He asks for ice cream to soothe his burn, and Mahi agrees.
At dinner, Baa offers Rahi food, praising her hard work. Mahi interrupts, accusing Rahi of selfishness—kicking Prem out of the room and forcing him to live in the cowshed. Rahi snaps back that if Prem has an issue, he should speak to her, and pushes Mahi aside. Mahi falls against a pillar, and Anupama rushes in, horrified at Rahi’s outburst.

Everyone celebrates Ansh’s birthday. Later, Rahi and Mahi fight over something. As Rahi raises her hand to slap Mahi, she accidentally strikes Baa instead—shocking the entire household.
