Anupama On Starlife Tuesday 17th June 2025 Written Episode Update
Anupama sees Prarthana at a café and goes over to greet her with a warm smile, asking how she is. Prarthana says she’s fine. Anupama explains that she’s there for a client presentation and noticed her sitting alone. She asks if she came with anyone, and Prarthana replies that she just wanted to have coffee but had no one to accompany her, so she came by herself. Anupama tells her there’s no need to wait for others—she herself used to enjoy tea at stalls and even went to watch movies on her own. Prarthana gives her a polite smile but says she needs to leave. Before she goes, Anupama offers her a homemade jaggery toffee and mentions it was made by Prem, her soon-to-be son-in-law. Prarthana looks a little surprised and asks if that means he’s getting married. Anupama proudly says yes—he’s marrying her daughter, Mahi. Prarthana congratulates her and walks out. After she leaves, Anupama picks up the bill and notices her full name—Prarthana Kothari—which makes her pause and think.

Back at home, Rahi tries to talk to Mahi, asking if she’s still angry. Mahi admits she is, but not at Prem—only at Rahi. Rahi apologizes and offers to show her some engagement designs. Mahi brushes it off and says she just wants Prem’s name on her mehendi. Meanwhile, Anupama checks in with Ansh about the florist, and he confirms everything is arranged. He also tells her the playlist is ready. Pari joins in and says Mahi’s dress has been altered. Anupama brings up the decorations, and Rahi volunteers to handle that. Ansh teases Mahi about being overly excited, and Mahi playfully fires back, saying they’ll blame her later for forgetting something. She hugs Anupama tightly and asks about Kavya. Anupama says she’s been trying to get in touch with her. She then reminds Toshu to bring a dhoti-kurta for the pandit. As Toshu walks away, Anupama mutters how forgetful he is. Baa, watching the fuss, remarks that Anupama is behaving like Mahi is her real daughter. Anupama firmly says she is her real daughter. Rahi speaks up and says Mahi has taken her place in their mother’s heart and deserves it all. Anupama gently explains that a mother’s love doesn’t divide—it multiplies.
Pakhi asks Rahi to stick glitter on the engagement welcome board, and she starts working on it. Prem watches her from a distance and says giving away your happiness isn’t noble—it’s just foolish. Rahi tells him she’s not noble and doesn’t love anyone. Prem says fine, and walks off. He goes to Anupama and offers to help, but she tells him to rest. He insists he has work at Anu Ki Rasoi, and says mehendi won’t be applied to his hands anyway. Anupama says if he wants, he can invite his friends to the engagement. Prem says no, and instead suggests that Anupama and Rahi go buy the rings.
Just then, Deepa comes in and tells Anupama that someone is here to meet her. It’s Prarthana. She tells Anupama that she couldn’t speak to her properly at the café and came now after hearing that Anu Ki Rasoi belongs to her. She congratulates Prem on his engagement, and Anupama warmly invites her to the ceremony. She asks Prem to make tea while she heads to the kitchen. But before she can go far, someone calls out that Baa needs her, so she leaves. Alone, Prarthana bluntly asks Prem why he’s getting engaged and tells him to come away with her. Prem refuses. Just then, Rahi walks in and sees them. Prarthana directly asks if he’s getting engaged to Rahi. Prem avoids answering, says he has to deliver Prarthana’s order, and walks off. Rahi looks puzzled and asks who the girl was. Prem says her name is Prarthana, someone Anupama had helped before. But Anupama, having overheard his tone, quietly wonders how Prem knew her full name—Prarthana Kothari.
Later, during the mehendi ceremony, Rahi lovingly applies mehendi to Mahi’s hand. Mahi is excited to see Prem’s name in the design and smiles. Prem walks in, trips slightly, and falls against Mahi’s chair. In the process, her mehendi gets smeared onto Rahi’s hand. He apologizes, and Mahi leaves to wash up. Left alone with Rahi, Prem gently tells her she can’t keep denying what’s in her heart. He shows her the spot on her hand where his name now appears and urges her to stop the wedding before it’s too late.
Pari sees Prem and encourages him to talk to Rahi again. Prem says Rahi won’t change her mind—she has chosen Mahi’s happiness over her own. Pari tells him he needs to fight for what he feels. Prem says he can’t because Rahi is sacrificing herself for Mahi. Pari then asks, “But what about your happiness?”
Rahi tries to wash the mehendi off, but instead of fading, it becomes darker. Meanwhile, Mahi comes to Anupama, upset that Prem’s name has faded from her hand. Anupama calmly tells her not to get distracted by small problems and focus on her happiness instead. Mahi says it’s her big day and she wants to be happy. She tells Anupama that Prem has no family of his own, so she will stand by him and take care of his home. She holds up the ring, smiles, and says she’s ready for the life ahead.
Prem goes to Rahi again and tells her she can try all she wants, but she’ll never erase him from her heart. Rahi tells him to concentrate on his engagement and move forward. Prem tells her he’s not good at pretending like she is. He says once she admits the truth, he’ll talk to Mahi—and she’ll understand. But Rahi insists everything is over, and she’ll be the first to congratulate him and Mahi after the ceremony. Prem turns away, teary-eyed. Later, his father calls him, but Prem curtly tells him to stay away and that he’s getting engaged.
Anupama, meanwhile, feels uneasy about Prarthana. She decides to look her up on social media. She recalls how Ansh once said that anyone can be found online these days. After searching through many profiles, she finally spots Prarthana Kothari and clicks on one of her photos. Just as it starts to load, Ishu comes in asking for Baa’s oil and help with her dress. Anupama gets distracted. Before she can return to the screen, the laptop battery dies and shuts off.
The next morning, Rahi dreams that Prem surprises her by slipping a ring onto her finger. She hugs him tightly, but when she wakes up, she’s disturbed. She scolds herself for dreaming about the man who is supposed to marry her sister. She tells herself to get it together before things spiral out of control.
Janki Behen visits Prem and gives him a puja supari, saying it will calm his heart and mind. She offers him tea and tells him to sit quietly and think clearly. If the heart is confused, the mind won’t find peace. After she leaves, Anupama thanks her for always being there. Janki Behen gently tells her that a mother can see the things children try to hide. She adds that she’ll make sure everything is right before the engagement begins.
UPCOMING
At the engagement, Anupama asks Prem and Mahi to exchange rings. Just as Prem is about to put the ring on Mahi’s finger, it slips and lands near Rahi. Rahi picks it up and hands it back to him. Ansh encourages everyone to dance and celebrate. Prem dances with Mahi to “Mahi Ve” but keeps glancing at Rahi. Suddenly, a light stand starts falling towards Rahi. Prem rushes to save her, pushing her out of the way. Rahi gets angry and asks why he’d risk his life for her. Prem, overwhelmed, confesses that he loves her. Rahi breaks down and says she loves him too. She hugs him tightly, while Mahi and Anupama look on, completely stunned.
