Anupama recalls her own past struggles, remembering how her in-laws had destroyed her dreams. She passionately argues that society remains just as rigid for women today. When Vasundhara brushes off the blame, Anupama questions her defensiveness and challenges her views.
Unable to hold back, Prem demands the truth, and Vasundhara finally confesses that she burned the letter. Prem lashes out, accusing her of deliberately destroying his dream, while Rahi calls it a betrayal. Gautam coldly remarks that Prem and Rahi deserve such treatment. Anupama confronts Vasundhara about her opposition to their admission, and Vasundhara admits her conservative beliefs, insisting that a daughter-in-law’s mother should remain quiet and distant. This sparks a heated clash of ideals between Anupama and Vasundhara.
Rahi accuses Vasundhara of sabotaging not only Prem’s future but also Anupama’s dreams. Vasundhara insists that Rahi should stay home and focus on household duties, further accusing Anupama of using Prem and Rahi for her business ambitions. She argues that girls should dedicate themselves to domestic responsibilities while boys pursue careers. Anupama counters sharply, pointing out that women often fail to support other women.
Leela sides with Vasundhara, questioning why Rahi should even work, but Anupama reminds her of the past opposition she faced when she pursued her own career, noting that only Hasmuk had supported her. Turning to Vasundhara, Anupama challenges her attempt to control Prem and Rahi, insisting that Prem is nothing like Vanraj and wholeheartedly supports Rahi’s ambitions. She vows to protect Rahi’s dreams, firmly reprimanding Parag when he tries to dismiss her. Vasundhara declares that a good daughter-in-law should prioritize family over her career, but Anupama counters that Vasundhara has no understanding of dreams or ambitions.
