Scene 1:
Shakti joins the rest of the family in performing the aarti for Lord Shiv. Ragunath expresses his happiness, saying it feels wonderful to see the whole family together. After the aarti, Shakti seeks blessings from Dadi, who lovingly tells her that she’s truly a blessing to them. Ragunath then tells Shakti to go and wake Shiv up.
Shakti goes to Shiv’s room and gently asks him to wake up, reminding him that Manorama’s family will be arriving soon. Shiv opens his eyes and sees Shakti drying her hair. He smiles, admiring her beauty, and sits up. He pulls her close and is about to kiss her, but Shakti stops him. Shiv says that his wife is so beautiful, he had to wake up just to see her. At that moment, Kartik enters and playfully teases them, saying that his papa is in love with his Maasi. Shiv tries to scold him, but Shakti tells him not to. Shiv says they should capture the moment, and they take a selfie together. Kartik happily says they should frame the photo. Shiv agrees and says there will be many happy moments ahead because of Shakti. Kartik then calls Shiv to come downstairs.
Manorama arrives at Shakti’s home with Dharam. She jokingly tells Koyal that after marriage, she’ll have to make tea. Manorama then asks Kamal for Koyal’s hand in marriage. Dadi jokes that if they say no, the couple might run away together, and everyone laughs. Dadi praises Shakti for managing everything so well and says they should ask for her opinion. Manorama then turns to Shakti and asks if they can officially ask for Koyal’s hand. Shakti agrees, but she jokes that the priest said they must wait a year before the wedding. Dharam gets anxious hearing this, but Shakti laughs and says she was just teasing. Shakti hugs Koyal and says she’s now part of their family. Dadi suggests finalizing the wedding date. Chacha checks the calendar and mentions that there’s a very special date coming up—one that only occurs once in 25 years. Dadi is shocked when she hears this. She asks if it’s the date when the sun and moon appear together. Chacha confirms it is. Dadi recalls a curse from a priest 25 years ago, warning her that danger would come to Shiv on that same date. She walks away, troubled.
Later, Dadi remains anxious as she remembers the priest’s words—he had told her that Shiv would be in danger on that date, and they should keep him away from that place. She worries that the curse might come true. Shakti finds Dadi upset and sits beside her, trying to comfort her. Dadi tells her she’s fine and insists they go ahead and confirm the date. Chacha says they should finalize it. Manorama announces that the mehndi ceremony will be held at her place. Dadi agrees, but deep inside, she’s still very worried about the cursed date.
