Choton rushes into the police station, worry written all over his face. He finds Jhanak sitting there and asks softly, “What happened?” Her voice trembles as she admits, “I’m in serious trouble.” The inspector steps in, explaining that Jhanak was found after escaping from the red-light area. Shocked, Choton turns to her, wanting to know how she ended up there. A constable chimes in, saying Jhanak told them she had no one in the world, and asks about her parents. “They’re no more,” Choton replies firmly, adding that he wants to take her home with him.

But the inspector shakes his head—Jhanak can’t be released without verification. Choton’s tone grows more determined. “She’s innocent. You have no right to hold her without reason.” He offers his ID cards and insists they send a team to his house to check his claims, refusing to leave without her. Reluctantly, the inspector notes down his details and promises that a team will visit the next day. Elsewhere, Shrishti sits before Vinayak, her eyes full of regret. She confesses that she’s ashamed of how she treated Jhanak, that she doesn’t deserve forgiveness, and that rejecting her as a mother will always be her greatest mistake. Her voice cracks as she apologizes to Vinayak too, admitting her guilt is crushing her. At her lowest, she mutters about ending her life—but Vinayak grabs her hands and stops her. She weeps that Jhanak will never accept her, yet she wants to see her at least once. Vinayak gently tells her that a mother’s love can still heal wounds. Sobbing, she begs him to bring Jhanak to her so she can make things right.
Back at the police station, Jhanak warns Choton in a low voice that danger is waiting outside. The inspector orders a constable to escort them safely out of the area. As they walk, she asks where he’s taking her. “Bose’s house,” he replies. “That’s my home too.” Jhanak shakes her head—she doesn’t want to go there—but Choton says it’s not the time to argue.
Later, Arshi asks Anirudh if he knows where Choton has gone. Just then, Choton walks in with Jhanak. Anirudh’s gaze locks on her. Anjana immediately questions where Jhanak had been, while Bablu demands to know where Choton found her. Arshi turns to Anirudh, accusing him of knowing she was back. Jhanak raises her chin and says she never wanted to return, but Arshi exposed her. She accuses Arshi of always being jealous. Arshi coldly asks if she married Vihaan. “I’m already married,” Jhanak reminds her. “Choton brought me here.” Arshi turns on Choton, demanding an explanation. Bipasha eyes Jhanak suspiciously, pointing out her appearance and implying where she came from. Jhanak doesn’t deny it—she admits she came from the red-light area. Arshi demands to know why she didn’t go to a shelter home. Dadi says bitterly that Jhanak should have died instead of coming back again and again.
Choton’s patience snaps. “If she can’t stay here, then I’ll leave too.” But Tanuja steps forward, declaring that Jhanak cannot stay under their roof. Bablu tells Jhanak that Shrishti now wants to accept her. Jhanak shakes her head. “I don’t need anyone’s acceptance. I’ll leave in the morning.” Arshi jumps in, claiming Jhanak doesn’t belong there. That’s when Anirudh speaks up—firm and unyielding. “It’s not for you to decide. This house isn’t yours.” Arshi plays her final card—she tells Anirudh she’s pregnant but under severe mental distress. Even then, Anirudh refuses to send Jhanak away. Choton quietly tells Anirudh to focus on Arshi’s condition, while he will take care of Jhanak. He asks Anjana to get food for her.
Seething, Arshi decides to call Shrishti. “If her own mother accepts her,” she says sharply, “then she won’t need anyone else.”
