Jhanak 13th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
The episode opens with Tanuja telling Shrishti that Jhanak cannot continue living in the Bose house. Choton immediately pushes back, insisting that Jhanak will stay, but Tanuja argues that Dadi should decide. Dadi reminds everyone that Shubh still wants to apologize to Jhanak and that no decision can be made until he returns from court. She also points out to Choton that Arshi has just as much right to the house as he and Anirudh do. Shrishti then approaches Jhanak, asking for a private conversation. To Jhanak’s surprise, Shrishti apologizes, admitting she has changed.

Meanwhile, Jhimli questions Lalon about why he didn’t take the full payment from Shubh. Lalon says he took whatever Shubh gave him, but Jhimli presses him about the interest. She reminds him that their father died because of Shubh, who stripped them of everything. Appu warns Lalon not to put his trust in Shubh. Jhimli warns that the Bose family will destroy his life too, her eyes flicking toward Appu. Lalon acknowledges her worry but tells her to stay out of his personal life. Laal arrives, saying he wants to speak to Lalon about his room. He advises Lalon to stop stirring trouble, warning that Dadi and Amitabh won’t tolerate it if they decide to leave. Once Laal leaves, Appu asks Lalon if Laal is trustworthy. Lalon says he seemed sincere and admits he lied to him about the decorators.
Back in the house, Shrishti tells Jhanak that the verdict will soon be announced and that she will be going to jail. She asks for forgiveness, admitting her mistakes and claiming she wants to make amends. But Jhanak coldly refuses, saying nothing will change even if she forgives her. Shrishti continues to plead, insisting she truly has changed and asking Jhanak to stay with her for a few days. Arshi steps in, telling Shrishti to drop the act if she really means to move on. Shrishti counters, saying Arshi has everything in life while Jhanak has nothing, and needs support. Arshi orders her to take Jhanak and leave, but Shrishti promises to bring Jhanak to her home and transform her life.
Anirudh doesn’t buy into Shrishti’s words, refusing to trust her. Choton stands firm that Jhanak will remain in the Bose house. Shrishti asserts her rights as Jhanak’s mother, but Anirudh points out that she hasn’t proven she’s a good one. Jhanak tells Shrishti that Urvashi is her real mother and no one can replace her. Shrishti concedes that winning her trust won’t be easy and asks if Jhanak will at least visit her if she stays in the Bose house.
Mrinalini arrives, embracing Jhanak and reassuring her that she hasn’t done anything wrong—her only mistake was trusting the wrong people. Anirudh stands his ground, telling Shrishti he will not risk sending Jhanak with her.
Elsewhere, Jhimli meets her boyfriend and tells him she’s been fighting with her family over money. He claims he doesn’t want the money for himself, but because it’s rightfully hers. He urges her to match his lifestyle in front of his family. Jhimli says her mother invited him to meet them, but he refuses, not wanting to bring his family to Basti. He pushes her to fight harder for her share, even hinting that she should take it if she finds it in the house. When she questions why she should steal, he insists it’s hers and that her family doesn’t care about her happiness.
Later, Jhanak is tidying up Arshi’s room and mentions she’ll bring her some soup next. Arshi starts talking about her love for Anirudh and their baby, implying that Jhanak is only in the house because of him. Jhanak replies that she doesn’t need to be near the man she loves to feel that love and even offers to become the baby’s nanny if Arshi wishes. Arshi scolds her, but Jhanak calmly asks her not to insult her feelings, saying she can wait a lifetime for her love.
