Appu’s face lit up when she saw Jhanak. “Are you working here like a maid?” she asked. Jhanak smiled gently and said this was her home, so helping with chores didn’t bother her. Appu pointed out that Bipasha never lifted a finger, prompting Bipasha to snap at her to stay out of it. Jhanak kept her calm, saying she had no problem with work. Bipasha’s voice dripped with disdain as she remarked that some people were destined to earn their meals through labor. Jhanak simply told her she didn’t care for her opinion.

Shubh arrived and asked Appu if she was all right. Appu eyed him suspiciously and reminded him he still owed Lalon money. Shubh claimed he had changed, but Appu refused to believe him until Lalon intervened, telling her to let it go. Appu turned to Jhanak, sharing the doctor’s good news that she would recover soon and resume her studies. Bipasha mocked her dreams, but Lalon shut her down, reminding her whose house she was in. Anirudh walked in just as Appu asked if Arshi was mistreating Jhanak. Jhanak quickly asked her not to say such things. Anirudh wanted to know what the doctor had said, but Appu accused him of being too caught up with Arshi.
Arshi then arrived, telling Jhanak to bring her food instead of chatting. Jhanak promised it would be served on time, but Appu scolded Arshi for bossing her around. Jhanak once again asked Appu not to interfere. Arshi questioned why Anirudh hadn’t left for the office. He replied that he hadn’t had breakfast yet. Jhanak told Anjana the meal was ready, but Arshi coldly reminded her she had only asked for her own plate.
Bipasha taunted that Jhanak was trying to impress Anirudh. Lalon asked if Jhanak was handling all the household chores. She explained she was only taking care of Arshi. Anirudh objected, saying she was Arshi’s sister, not a servant. Jhanak insisted she was doing this willingly and didn’t want him to interfere, but he refused to stand by when something wrong was happening. Anjana agreed with him, reminding Jhanak she was a guest in the house.
Lalon then told Jhanak they were moving to a new flat where she’d have her own room. Jhanak smiled at the thought, and he reassured her of his support. Appu told her to come to her if she faced trouble and asked for her help in getting ready for Choton’s wedding. As Jhanak turned, she accidentally bumped into Anirudh, who caught her hand. Arshi, frowning, told her to stop loitering.
Jhanak told Arshi not to get upset in her condition, saying she cared for her and the baby’s well-being. She explained that she was doing this for Anirudh, as he had saved her life many times, and she saw it as her duty to care for Arshi. Anirudh silently wondered when Jhanak would truly understand him. Choosing not to justify himself, he told Arshi to rest before leaving for work. Arshi felt reassured by his care, while Jhanak reflected sadly that she was still just a stranger to him.
Meanwhile, Prachi asked Vihaan if there was any news about Jhanak. He said no but admitted he was worried for her. Prachi hoped she was fine, but Sejal dismissed her concern. Vihaan challenged Sejal on her attitude toward Jhanak. Turning to Ketki, Sejal complained about his behavior, reminding him of their relationship. Vihaan replied with sarcasm. Ketki scolded him, accusing him of tarnishing their family’s reputation by bringing Jhanak into their lives. He explained he had done it for Ahaan’s sake, adding that even Ketki had failed to handle Ahaan. Ketki said he could have helped someone else, but Prachi defended Jhanak, saying she had done nothing wrong.
At the Bose house, Shrishti arrived asking about Jhanak. In the kitchen, Jhanak was serving soup to Arshi. Shrishti questioned why she was back to doing housework. Arshi explained that Jhanak was looking after her. Shrishti wanted to know why she had taken on that role. Jhanak told her not to worry, saying she was fine and had no plans to go back to Shrishti’s house. Arshi, still bitter over Shrishti’s betrayal, said she would never forgive her.
Back at Vihaan’s place, Sejal accused Jhanak of manipulation. Vihaan warned her not to speak ill of Jhanak, insisting she had only helped them. Ketki ordered him to cut ties with her completely.
Shrishti, however, declared she wasn’t ashamed to call Jhanak her daughter. She told Arshi she had cared for her well and now wanted to take responsibility for Jhanak too. But Jhanak refused her affection outright.

Vihaan tells Jhanak that Ahaan has a fever and that he will come to Kolkata to get him. Arshi mocks Jhanak about Vihaan, but Jhanak fires back with a sharp reply.
