Jhanak 20th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
The episode begins with Vihaan arriving at the Bose house, carrying little Ahaan in his arms. Anirudh informs him that the rest of the family is out. As soon as Jhanak takes Ahaan from Vihaan, she immediately notices his fever. Vihaan explains that the child misses her deeply, and that his health has worsened because of it. Arshi, who is present, remarks that Ahaan looks weak, and Vihaan agrees, adding that the longing for Jhanak is taking a toll on him. Arshi assures Vihaan that once she delivers her baby, she will send Jhanak back to his house. Anirudh offers food to Vihaan, and Jhanak goes to get something. But she sharply tells Arshi that she is not some object that can be handed over at someone’s will.

Vihaan then turns to Jhanak and pleads with her to return to his home for Ahaan’s sake, promising that no one in his family will mistreat her this time. Arshi interrupts, saying that at least Jhanak will have a roof over her head. Jhanak firmly replies that while she will stay until Arshi’s delivery, she has no intention of returning with Vihaan afterward. Vihaan then challenges Arshi, telling her that if she truly accepted Jhanak as her sister, she wouldn’t put her through such suffering. Arshi defends herself, claiming Vihaan has misunderstood her intentions.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Kajol informs the inspector that Jhimli is missing. Lalon begs for help in finding her. The inspector questions whether Jhimli had a romantic involvement, and Lalon reveals that she is in love with Anindo, though they know very little about him. Kajol insists that the police must help, but the inspector says it cannot be considered kidnapping. Lalon then admits that fifty lakh rupees are also missing, making the situation worse. The inspector scolds him for being careless but asks for Jhimli’s photograph, suggesting she could be in danger. Even so, he explains that since Jhimli is an adult, if she has willingly eloped with Anindo, they cannot interfere. Kajol prays desperately that Jhimli is safe, while Lalon weeps as they file the missing report.
Back at Vihaan’s house, Sejal questions Ketki about whether Jhanak will really return. She asks whether Ketki is willing to allow her back. Ketki calmly asks if Sejal has any problem with it. Sejal warns that Jhanak’s presence could destroy the family’s values. Irritated, Ketki scolds her for trying to dictate how she should run the household. Sejal argues that she only cares about Vihaan and the family’s dignity. Though Ketki brushes her off, her words linger in her mind. After Sejal leaves, Ketki begins to wonder whether bringing Jhanak back is truly the right choice. Later, Sejal slyly suggests that Ketki should think about arranging Vihaan’s second marriage, further fueling her doubts.
Back at the Bose house, Jhanak thanks Vihaan for all the help he has given her but explains that she longs for independence. She tells him that she will stay until Arshi’s delivery but afterward will leave, and she refuses to return to his house. Curious and still searching for clarity, Vihaan asks why she ran away in the first place. Jhanak explains that for her, marriage is sacred and should never be forced. Since she was coerced into marrying him, she felt she had no choice but to flee. Arshi scoffs at Jhanak’s reasoning, mocking her for not knowing what will truly make her happy.
Elsewhere, Choton confronts Lalon for not informing him sooner about Jhimli’s disappearance. Lalon explains he didn’t want to trouble him. Bablu guesses that Jhimli must have left to marry Anindo. Kajol questions why she needed such a large sum if Anindo is already wealthy. Anuradha, humiliated, admits she cannot face anyone, convinced that Jhimli handed all the money to Anindo. Appu urges Lalon to find her quickly. Just then, Jhimli calls Anuradha and confirms that she has married Anindo. She coldly tells her not to worry. Anuradha demands to know why she stole the money. Jhimli defiantly replies that she only took what she considered her rightful share. Ignoring Anuradha’s scolding, she hangs up abruptly. Shattered, Anuradha declares there is no need to search for Jhimli anymore. Bablu suggests they should accept the marriage if Anindo is a decent man, but Lalon strongly objects, saying Anindo is not trustworthy. Anuradha warns Lalon not to make any further attempts to contact her. Appu tries to console his mother, promising she still has him, but Anuradha breaks down in tears.
Back at the Bose house, Arshi mocks Jhanak, claiming that if she hadn’t escaped, she would still be trapped in the red-light district. Jhanak, hurt yet defiant, fires back, blaming Arshi for being the reason she ended up in such misery to begin with. She reminds her that the comfortable life Arshi enjoys today is only possible because of her.
