Jhanak 24th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
The episode begins with Arshi tumbling down the staircase and crying out in pain. Dadi rushes toward her, horrified at the sight, and quickly helps her up before settling her onto the sofa. With worry in her voice, Dadi asks why she decided to come downstairs in the first place. Arshi explains that she only wanted a cup of coffee and anxiously adds that she hopes nothing has happened to her baby. Dadi reassures her, telling her not to worry, that the baby will be fine. But Arshi, still in pain and frightened, insists that this wouldn’t have happened if Anirudh and Jhanak had been there.

Dadi gently reminds her that she should have simply called for help instead of trying to move around on her own. But Arshi, still seething, fumes that Anirudh must be busy enjoying himself with Jhanak at the wedding. Dadi counters firmly that if she didn’t want that to happen, she should never have allowed them to attend in the first place. Arshi laments that even Shrishti is now siding with Jhanak, leaving her to feel completely betrayed and ruined. Seeing her condition worsening, Dadi decides they must visit the hospital and immediately tries calling Anirudh.
Meanwhile, at Anindo’s house, Jhimli looks upset, and Anindo notices her expression. When he asks, she admits that she misses her mother. Anindo tries to shut the topic down, telling her that thinking about her family is pointless because they will only blame him in the end. He insists that her family will never truly accept her. To distract her, he reveals that he has bought her some jewelry. Jhimli looks at him curiously and asks why he didn’t take her to the shop with him. He replies that he wanted to surprise her. But instead of softening, she points out that he has been unusually short-tempered lately.
She also complains that his parents aren’t even willing to host a reception for them. Anindo brushes it aside, telling her to ignore such matters and focus on what he has brought her. Jhimli, however, grows suspicious, remarking that he claims to be wealthy, yet nothing in his house reflects the kind of money he talks about.
At the wedding, Anirudh and Jhanak are happily dancing along with Choton and Mrinalini when Dadi tries calling him. He doesn’t pick up. Dadi, frustrated, turns to Arshi and tells her that Anirudh is ignoring the call. Arshi’s anger flares further, and she declares that Anirudh is deliberately avoiding them and will only return after enjoying himself at the wedding. Dadi scolds her sharply, telling her not to think such things, and immediately calls Choton. Choton hands the phone over to Anirudh, who, upon hearing about Arshi’s fall, grows visibly concerned. Jhanak notices his reaction and reminds him that she had suggested earlier that she should have stayed back at the house. Dadi, on the phone, scolds Anirudh for not returning home sooner and being careless.
Back at Anindo’s house, he tries to justify his lifestyle by explaining to Jhimli that he had to buy this particular house because his old one is undergoing repairs. Jhimli recalls his father calling this place a rented house, but Anindo quickly dismisses that claim, saying his father doesn’t know because he never informed him about the purchase. When Jhimli suggests showing the jewelry to his mother, Anindo stops her, insisting that he bought them only for her, as a symbol of his love. He assures her that his business is doing well and when she offers to help him with it, he changes the topic and proudly shows her the jewelry. But the moment she sees it, she doubts its authenticity and suspects it is fake.
Anindo tries to cover up, claiming that the jewelry only looks different because it’s brand new. When she asks him for some cash, he becomes defensive and angry. To divert her questions, he shows her a few sarees. But Jhimli inspects them carefully and questions their quality, remarking that they look like cheap pieces bought from a footpath vendor. He reminds her of her Basti background, suggesting she shouldn’t complain. But Jhimli retorts angrily that, despite her humble background, she has never worn such poor-quality clothes. Frustrated, Anindo storms off, claiming he has urgent work to attend to. As he leaves, a folded bill slips from his pocket. Jhimli picks it up and is stunned to discover the jewelry is indeed fake.
Back at the wedding, Anirudh informs the family about Arshi’s fall. Bipasha immediately scolds him for leaving Arshi home alone while he went out to enjoy himself. The atmosphere turns tense as voices rise. Jhanak finally steps in, urging everyone to stop arguing and focus on the real issue: getting to Arshi as quickly as possible.
