Jhanak On Starlife Monday 9th June 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Anjana pleading with Jhanak to eat something. Her eyes are full of worry as she watches Jhanak sit silently, lost in grief. Dadi coldly brings up the Shraadh ceremony for Brij and bluntly says it won’t be performed in their house. Anjana firmly says that Jhanak will do it, which angers Dadi even more. She refuses to allow it. Choton steps forward in support of Anjana and insists the ritual will take place here, in this house. Bipasha questions Jhanak’s connection to their family, doubting her right to perform the ceremony. Anirudh tries to keep the peace and says it can be done elsewhere if someone wants to take her, but he doesn’t mind. Anjana urges everyone to look at Jhanak—she hasn’t eaten in two days and is breaking down. She begs Dadi to show some humanity and reminds her of the injustice Jhanak has suffered.

Arshi gets upset and tells Anirudh not to stand up for Jhanak. She scolds him, but Choton defends his cousin and says Anirudh isn’t doing anything wrong. Anjana jumps in and says Jhanak is like their sister. Arshi refuses to accept that and calls it a lie. Jhanak speaks up, her voice heavy with emotion, and says she wishes it were a lie too. At that moment, Appu walks in with Lalon and gently asks Jhanak about her father. She tells Jhanak not to cry and offers to feed her herself. Bipasha makes fun of the moment, calling Appu a drama queen, but Appu shuts her down by telling her to take Arshi and leave the house. She proudly claims that this is her house too. Dadi tries to calm her, but Appu refuses to stay quiet.
Appu and Lalon try to comfort Jhanak and convince her to eat. Lalon sits beside her and opens up about his struggles—he has lost his job and can’t manage to take care of Appu anymore. He tells Jhanak that she needs to take Appu along to music programs so she can sing again. He says Appu’s singing would make both of them happy. Jhanak is touched and begins to cry. Lalon gently begs her to take care of Appu. Jhanak nods slowly. Appu says they can talk about everything later and insists on feeding Jhanak first.
Arshi tries again to get Anirudh to leave with her, but Jhanak asks him to go. Anirudh doesn’t budge. He tells her it’s sad that she can’t understand what’s important and what’s not. He warns her that he won’t leave until she eats. Dadi continues to insult Jhanak and accuses Anirudh of hurting Arshi. He responds that he simply told Arshi to leave if she’s unhappy. Arshi gets irritated and tells him to stop. Jhanak, still composed, says she’ll leave after her father’s Shraadh and never come back to this house again.
Anirudh moves closer to her and says maybe the Shraadh can still happen from this house. Jhanak tries to stop him and says she wants to go. But he refuses to let her go like this. He begs her to understand how he feels. He says he can’t continue with Arshi anymore, that there’s no love between them, and that she’s only possessive about him. He insists one-sided love can never make a relationship work. Unbeknownst to them, Bipasha is quietly listening nearby.
Anirudh opens his heart to Jhanak. He admits that he’s scared of Arshi and the chaos that surrounds their relationship. He feels it’s impossible to save something that’s already broken. Jhanak asks him directly what he wants. Anirudh looks at her and says she already knows the answer—he wants freedom from Arshi and to end that relationship for good. Jhanak says he can’t just leave Arshi and that what he’s doing is wrong. Anirudh tries to make her understand. He says everyone deserves peace and happiness in their life, and he just wants to live his life freely. Bipasha, hiding nearby, watches closely. She thinks to herself that Anirudh will eventually find out what Jhanak has done, and when he does, he’ll never want to see her again. She believes that’s when he’ll truly love Arshi again. Her only concern is how to get hold of Jhanak’s phone.
Jhanak tells Anirudh again to go. She informs him that she’s leaving for Mumbai soon and will stay at Aditya’s flat for a few days. Bipasha hears this and smiles to herself. Anirudh tells her she’ll need time to settle and find work. Jhanak reveals that she’s already received a film offer. Anirudh then asks her a difficult question—if he breaks things off with Arshi and becomes free, will she accept him in her life? Jhanak immediately says no. She doesn’t want to be the reason someone’s relationship ends.
But Anirudh stays firm. He says he’ll leave Arshi and come to her, and that day, she’ll have the right to decide. She can either accept him or send him away. Jhanak replies softly that she’ll send him away, because their relationship just isn’t possible. Anirudh calmly says time will tell. He asks her if she wants to invite anyone special to her father’s Shraadh—like Aditya. Jhanak says Aditya is just her friend, and she doesn’t want a crowd at the ritual. Anirudh says it would be wrong not to inform him, so he’ll call him himself. Bipasha quietly watches and thinks things are going just as she hoped.
Anirudh tells Jhanak to get some rest. As he turns around, he sees Bipasha standing at the door. She says she came to speak with Jhanak. Walking in with a straight face, she says she’s sorry to hear about Brij’s death and that Jhanak has returned. But then her tone changes as she says she’s here to remind her of some house rules. She glances at Jhanak’s phone lying on the bed and lies that Dadi sent her. Jhanak tells her to say what she has to. Bipasha strictly tells her not to take part in any religious or puja rituals. Once Anirudh leaves, Bipasha casually sits on the bed and discreetly picks up Jhanak’s phone. She then tells Jhanak to step outside and sit for a while. Jhanak, unaware of her intentions, walks out, leaving her phone behind.

Aditya says Jhanak wants to settle down with him. Anirudh is stunned and asks him what he just said. He then sees Jhanak standing there and becomes furious.
