The episode begins with Anirudh telling the temple priest that the woman with him isn’t Jhanak, but her sister. Jhanak is stunned and asks him what he means. Anirudh shares how he recovered from his illness after someone did a special prayer at this very temple. The pandit then asks about his wife, surprised she’s not with him. Anirudh emotionally replies that his wife is no longer alive. The pandit is shocked, saying she was like a goddess.
Jhanak says she wants to perform a puja and hands the pandit a letter. She says it contains the name of the person she’s dedicating the ritual to—someone related to her. The priest agrees. Jhanak reflects on being there for the ceremony, while Anirudh silently wonders if she’s upset with him. He also questions if she believes he thinks she’s dead.
Meanwhile, Dadi and Anjana are seen discussing Choton and Mrinalini’s future marriage. Anjana says they’ll speak to the couple about it soon. At the temple, the pandit tells Jhanak and Anirudh that they look just like siblings. Jhanak smiles and thanks him.
Jhanak offers prasad to Anirudh, but he refuses, saying he’s fasting until the puja is over. He asks her to wait for him, and she agrees. Anirudh performs a prayer for Jhanak’s soul, telling the priest she was hurt in an accident and some people didn’t want her to live. He prepares to leave, but the priest tells him that he believes the couple will reunite someday. Jhanak and Anirudh exchange prasad and place a tika on each other’s foreheads. They share a silent, emotional moment. Anirudh thinks maybe they’ll meet again in another life and wonders if the priest’s words could come true. Jhanak asks what’s on his mind, but he brushes it off and offers her a ride. She politely declines.
Back at home, Bipasha tells Nutan that the woman claiming to be Brij’s daughter might actually be Jhanak. Lal disagrees. Bipasha mocks Anjana, and Lal informs Dadi about the situation. Dadi looks at a picture and confirms it’s Jhanak. Anjana remembers the day Bablu was insulted. Dadi invites her to sit and hear more. Bipasha talks about Brij and Nutan, and Tanuja suggests the two women might be twins. Bipasha voices her suspicions. Just then, Choton and Mrinalini return and overhear the conversation. Bipasha says she’s just expressing her thoughts to the family. Tanuja adds that no one was ever close to Jhanak. Choton criticizes Bipasha for her attitude. Lal blames Jhanak for bringing ruin to the family. Choton asks what he means. Dadi angrily declares she doesn’t want Jhanak’s name mentioned again—she already held her funeral rites and considers her gone.
Tanuja leaves for her room, and the others follow. Meanwhile, Arshi spots Anirudh in his car with Nutan and confronts him. She sarcastically comments on the special occasion. Anirudh says it’s just a good day, and he came to pray. Arshi mocks him, saying they spent the night together and made promises. Anirudh appears confused. She teases that he’s acting shy in front of Nutan. Jhanak listens quietly.
Arshi pulls Anirudh aside and reminds him of their intimate moment the previous night. She even says they’ve decided to plan a baby and asks when he’s getting married. Jhanak responds, saying she’ll invite Arshi when she gets married. Arshi offers to drop Anirudh, saying he looks unwell. Jhanak reminds her of their competition and says she’ll go alone. Arshi dismisses it, saying there’s no competition. Jhanak replies, “You never know,” and wishes her a happy married life before walking away, clearly heartbroken. Arshi tells Anirudh to go home and rest.
At home, Anjana asks Choton and Mrinalini to sit down. Dadi tells Anjana to talk to them about marriage. Anjana gently brings up the topic. Choton says the decision is up to Mrinalini. Mrinalini reminds him he once said he wanted to save money first. He agrees and shares a story. She encourages him to finish his graduation before they marry, and he agrees.
Later, Arshi returns home. Vinayak asks her to invite her in-laws to an upcoming party. Arshi assures him they’ll come. Shrishti asks why she looks upset, noting that things with Anirudh seem fine. Arshi says she enjoys spending time with Vinayak lately. Vinayak mentions he has a surprise for her. Shrishti gets annoyed when Arshi brings up the past and her bond with Vinayak, but he smiles, hinting at his surprise.

Arshi tells the family that she saw Anirudh and Nutan together. Brij blesses Jhanak and tells her to stay happy. Jhanak shares that she met Anirudh, and Brij advises her not to marry him.
