Anirudh drops off Brij and Jhanak at home. As they reach, Brij invites Anirudh to come inside, but Jhanak immediately grows uneasy and questions why he’s calling for more trouble. Brij calmly tells her not to overthink and asks her to go inside and make some tea. She listens quietly and walks in. Once she’s gone, Brij praises Anirudh for his strength and acknowledges the pressure he must be facing, especially with Arshi in the picture. Anirudh admits there’s pressure from every side, but he’s determined to stand by Jhanak no matter what. Brij expresses his pride in Anirudh and invites him inside.
At the same time, Lalon comes home looking disturbed. Appu notices and asks if he’s okay. Anuradha also becomes concerned. Lalon stays silent at first, but then breaks down, crying. He reveals that the contractor they were dealing with has absconded with all the money. The family is left stunned.
Meanwhile, Brij sits Anirudh down and tells him there’s something important he needs to say. He confesses that he has full faith in Anirudh, and deeply regrets not being able to do more for Jhanak. He’s grateful to Anirudh for stepping in when she had no one else. When Jhanak returns with tea, she overhears Brij telling Anirudh that he doesn’t know how much longer he has left to live, and makes him promise that he’ll never stop supporting Jhanak. Jhanak immediately stops him, asking him not to talk like that. She urges him to leave the city with her because she’s afraid for his safety. But Brij insists that Anirudh is someone she can truly rely on. He explains that Anirudh cares for her and will always protect her. Then he tells Anirudh that he’s not asking him to go against his family or break off his engagement, but hopes that, at the very least, he and Jhanak can remain lifelong friends.
Anirudh listens carefully and reassures him that no matter how angry or distant Jhanak becomes, he will always be there for her. He says it’s a promise he intends to keep. Jhanak, on the other hand, argues that Brij should stop trusting people—especially married men. She refuses to let Anirudh take responsibility for her. Brij reminds her that Anirudh is the only one who’s consistently stood by her and that he trusts him completely. Anirudh looks at Jhanak and tells her that what they have may not be openly visible, but it’s real. He says they share a bond that no one can break.
He then admits that Jhanak loves him, even if she won’t say it aloud, and he loves her deeply too. Brij is moved and smiles, clearly reassured. But Jhanak coldly tells Anirudh that it’s late and he should leave. Anirudh says he won’t walk away so easily and is ready to take any insult she throws at him. Brij, feeling proud, offers him tea before he goes. As they sit together, Brij tells Anirudh that both he and Jhanak are hurting, and asks him to forgive her behavior. Anirudh drinks the tea silently.
Elsewhere, tension brews in the Bose house. Shubh is furious about the public embarrassment he’s facing. Arshi agrees, saying she’s also suffering, especially since Anirudh is siding with Jhanak. Dadi adds to the fire, saying she never imagined Anirudh would go against his own father. Anjana and Lal start arguing, and Bablu and Choton step in to calm things down. Tanuja, as always, finds a way to insult them. Dadi comments that she understands Anirudh’s inner conflict but still finds fault with those supporting Jhanak. Shubh suddenly announces that he has no choice left—he must disown Anirudh. Just then, Anirudh walks in and fires back, asking why only parents have the right to disown their children. What if children wanted to disown their parents? The family is stunned. Shubh lashes out and declares he is disowning Anirudh right then and there. Tanuja and Dadi try to stop things from escalating further, but Anirudh stands his ground. He says he’s embarrassed by his father’s actions and can’t stand by him anymore.
Anjana quietly says that everyone believes she’s the one poisoning Anirudh’s mind. He looks shocked and asks what she means. Bablu defends Anjana, saying no one understands the pain she’s been through. Arshi jumps in and accuses Anirudh of using Jhanak as an excuse to create distance between them. Anirudh replies sharply, saying his father deserves the criticism. He calls out Shubh for bribing a fake witness and says it will all come out in court soon. He saw through the woman’s overacting in court and knew she was lying. Shubh is outraged and says Anirudh is siding with the opposing lawyer. Lal intervenes, trying to stop Anirudh from speaking against his father.
But Anirudh keeps going. He says the elders in the house also insult their parents when it suits them, so they have no right to lecture him. He adds that Arshi and her family are part of the problem too. Arshi says nothing is proven yet, but Anirudh insists that the judge’s ruling will soon reveal everything. He says even he feels ashamed to see his father stoop so low. He then warns that if things continue this way, he might leave the house altogether. Dadi and others urge him to calm down and eat, but Shubh refuses to share a meal with him. Anjana pleads with Shubh to calm down, but Shubh accuses her of turning Anirudh against him. Anjana breaks down and defends herself through tears.
Tanuja taunts Choton again, but he doesn’t hold back. He asks her to say something nice for once instead of always belittling him. Dadi tries to intervene, reminding everyone she’s still the matriarch, but no one listens. Shubh stubbornly insists that the truth won’t change. Anirudh says he’ll eat later. Arshi, now fed up, tells him to go to hell. She demands an answer—does he want to be with her or not? Anirudh turns the question around and asks what she wants. He says if she wants to be with him, she needs to change. He’s clear that he won’t support her unless she stands for the truth. For him, justice is the only thing that matters.
UPCOMING
Anirudh goes to speak with Jhanak, but she turns away and refuses to talk. Suddenly, both Anirudh and Brij are shot, leaving Jhanak frozen in horror.
