The episode begins with Brij talking to a lawyer. He explains that a friend of his, who runs an ashram and is also a doctor, will be involved in the case along with a few others. The lawyer agrees to begin the work immediately. Brij thanks him and says he doesn’t have the money right now but his friend has promised to help. He says he will borrow from his friend for his daughter’s sake and asks for time to pay the lawyer’s fees. The lawyer says he has good news and bad news.
Meanwhile, Vinayak and Shrishti arrive home, and Shubh and Tanuja welcome them. Bablu and others gather too. Anjana offers Vinayak tea or coffee, and he jokes that she is always in the kitchen. Tanuja blames Anjana for removing the cook. Choton steps in to defend Anjana and tells Tanuja and Bipasha to handle the cooking too, instead of always depending on Anjana. Tanuja asks if Meenu is teaching him this, and he says yes—she’s more educated than he is, and he wants to learn from her. Anjana tells Choton not to argue and says she will cook. The lawyer then surprises Brij by saying he won’t take any fees for this case—this is his first time handling such a matter, and it’s a privilege. He says they can give him just one rupee. Jhanak refuses but the lawyer insists they should focus on winning first.
Anjana apologizes to Vinayak, but Lal gets angry and yells at her. He also questions Choton’s attitude and complains about Shubh and Tanuja handling everything. Lal says he feels ashamed to be their son. In anger, Anjana slaps him and asks how he dared to speak like that. Bipasha is shocked and tells Anjana she’s going too far. Anjana tells her to stay quiet and says if she were her daughter, she would have understood the pain. Anjana defends her right to scold her own son and says she will never give up that right. Bablu and Choton become emotional. She then confronts Lal and asks if he ever contributes any money to the house. She reminds him that both his father and Choton work hard and contribute, unlike him. Tanuja stops Anjana and asks if she’s lost her mind. Bipasha warns her not to slap her husband again. But Anjana shuts her down and says Lal is her son first, and she has the right to correct him.
The lawyer says they can ask for police protection if they fear for their lives. Brij replies that they can’t live in fear forever and are ready to fight. The lawyer admires Brij’s bravery and asks about his brother. Brij says he doesn’t know where his brother is right now. Choton gets furious at Lal and tells him to leave the house with his wife. Just then, Anirudh and Arshi arrive. Anirudh asks what’s going on. Choton tells him to ask Lal. Anirudh guesses that Lal insulted Anjana again. Lal says he’s leaving the house. Bipasha questions if Anjana owns the house. Vinayak scolds her, but Lal tells him to let it go. Vinayak says he wasn’t raised with such values. Shrishti tries to calm things down and asks Anirudh how he is. He says he’s better now. She jokes that they just arrived, and drama already started.
Anirudh explains that he had warned Lal not to insult Bablu and Anjana, but Lal never took any real responsibility as a son. He says he will look after them himself now. He asks Anjana if Lal insulted her, and Anjana cries. Choton says it’s no use hiding it—he heard Lal insult Anjana and saw her slap him. Instead of realizing his mistake, Lal started yelling. Shubh mocks Choton, and they argue. Arshi tries to stop Lal from leaving, but he complains that Anjana always insults him. Vinayak tells him to stop doing such things if he feels bad. Anirudh agrees. Vinayak says they came for an important reason. Shrishti says yes. Shubh apologizes for the family drama. She says it’s alright. Vinayak adds that he doesn’t support such behavior. Arshi says she forgot to tell the others something.
Vinayak asks Anirudh to get well soon and reminds him that their 25th wedding anniversary is approaching and everyone must attend. Tanuja gets excited. Anirudh wonders why he can’t ever stay happy. He thinks about stopping Arshi from leaving and wonders if he truly loves her since Jhanak will never return.
The lawyer tells Jhanak that Urvashi wasn’t married and asks if she was her mother. He says Urvashi may have hidden her truth for Jhanak’s well-being and that Jhanak should reveal her identity to honor Urvashi. Jhanak agrees. She apologizes and says she’s ready. Elsewhere, Anirudh says he feels that Jhanak is still alive. Shrishti is shocked. He says he has a feeling she might return anytime. Tanuja disagrees, saying she’s gone. Vinayak tells Anirudh to come with him and insists it’s important. Shrishti senses he is hiding something. Anirudh asks why, and Vinayak promises it will make him happy.
Choton says they are still grieving because they truly loved Jhanak. Arshi says she will always be there for Anirudh, putting him before her career. Anirudh says he can’t make promises but will try. Arshi says they drifted apart because they didn’t spend enough time together. Shrishti asks Anjana to attend the party with Bablu. But Anjana says she considered Jhanak as her daughter, and since she lost her, she can’t attend a celebration. She says it’s better to invite people who spread joy. Then she goes to make tea.
Brij tells the lawyer that he wants to give everything he has to his daughter. The lawyer says he may not understand emotions like Brij does, but he promises to bring the truth out in court. Brij says there will be a dance competition where Shrishti will be the judge, and Arshi and Jhanak will both perform. His brother Kul Bhushan will also attend. The lawyer agrees to attend the event. Jhanak mentions that guests are allowed. He confirms that he will be there.
