Anirudh confronts Vihaan with a heavy heart, asking him outright if the woman he saw in Kolkata was truly his wife Jhanak. He admits he had been searching for a photo of the real Avni and demands to know who Vihaan brought along. Vihaan doesn’t deny it—he calmly tells Anirudh that the woman with him isn’t Avni. When Anirudh pushes further, desperate for answers, Vihaan reveals that he is married to Jhanak. Anirudh is stunned and asks when this marriage took place, but Vihaan holds back, unwilling to share the entire truth. Instead, he cleverly changes the topic and accuses Anirudh of pretending to be sick. Anirudh admits it, saying he stayed back only to uncover the truth and condemns the fake muh dikhai ceremony that was staged. Vihaan sticks to his story, claiming the marriage with Jhanak is real, but he also remembers how Jhanak had begged him to keep certain things hidden from Anirudh.

Back at home, Mahek watches in admiration as Jhanak makes pickles, amazed by her skill despite having lived in America. Priyanshi, full of curiosity, asks if Americans focus only on studies. Jhanak answers with sincerity, telling her that while education is important everywhere, it’s up to each individual to take their studies seriously. She encourages Priyanshi to focus on her exams and future. Mahek, already fond of Jhanak, says she wishes she had met her earlier. Priyanshi, now fully trusting Jhanak, asks her to speak to Vihaan about something, but Jhanak gently steers the conversation back, reminding her to stay dedicated to school. Mahek pulls her aside, cautioning her that going against Ketki in the household won’t be easy.
Anirudh, still unable to accept the situation, tries once more to get answers from Vihaan. Vihaan decides it’s time to explain, starting from the beginning. He tells Anirudh about his life in the US and how he met Avni, fell in love, and married her. But tragedy struck—Avni died in a plane crash and her body was never found. Heartbroken and left with just his son Ahaan, Vihaan returned to India when his family finally accepted him. It was here that he met Jhanak, a woman who needed shelter just as much as Ahaan needed care. Their needs brought them together, and he married her. Anirudh listens in disbelief, unable to process it all. He speaks of Jhanak’s incredible dance talent and insists on seeing her before he leaves, but Vihaan makes it clear—Jhanak will never be a replacement for Avni. Elsewhere in the house, Bipasha vents her frustrations to Laal. She’s had enough of living in the family home. Laal says he simply can’t afford to rent a flat right now. Bipasha mocks him, suggesting he cares more about Mimi’s wedding than their future. In a tone dripping with sarcasm, she even proposes he leak exam papers to make extra cash. Laal hesitates, afraid of losing his job. Bipasha fires back coldly—losing her might cost him even more. As tensions rise, Appu calls out for Lalon and breaks the moment.
Finally, Jhanak comes face to face with Anirudh. He wants to talk, but she cuts him off, reminding him that their relationship is over. He questions her choice to marry someone she barely knew, and she fires back, telling him she doesn’t question his life and expects the same in return. When he demands the truth, Jhanak opens up. She shares the horrifying experience of being kidnapped by Kul Bhushan and how she had to kill a goon to escape. She was desperate for safety and a fresh start. Anirudh is shaken, asking if she’s certain the man is dead and whether she’s contacted Aditya. But Jhanak wants nothing to do with her past. He mentions that Vihaan still seems to love Avni, and Jhanak agrees, saying their marriage was more about necessity than love—but she hopes something real might develop with time.
Meanwhile, Kul Bhushan has tracked Jhanak down. He informs his men that she’s now living as the daughter-in-law of a wealthy family and reminds them of the charges against her—attempted murder and theft. He instructs them to bring her back. Back home, Appu suggests Bipasha help Tanuja in the kitchen, and Laal agrees before heading out to college.
Anirudh, still struggling to accept everything, asks Jhanak how she can let go of the past so easily. She quietly says she’s trying her best to move on and is finally content in her new life. With that, she walks away, leaving him alone with his thoughts.
