Jhanak On Starlife Tuesday 29th July 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode opens with Jhanak gently teaching Priyanshi some dance steps in her room. Sejal, watching from a distance, quickly heads to Ketki and complains that Jhanak is dancing with ghungroos on her feet. She adds that Vihaan saw Jhanak dancing the day before, hinting at impropriety. Sejal accuses Jhanak of corrupting the culture of their household and claims that the younger girls might follow her lead. Ketki questions whether Sejal is exaggerating again, reminding her that she always seems to find faults in Jhanak. But Sejal insists she isn’t jealous—she’s just concerned about the values being passed on. Curious, Ketki heads to Jhanak’s room and finds her dancing. As soon as Jhanak notices Ketki at the door, she stops. Ketki is clearly upset and calls Vihaan, demanding an explanation. Priyanshi defends Jhanak, saying she hasn’t been taught anything inappropriate. Mehek speaks up too, explaining that she had encouraged Jhanak to dance because she had heard about her talent. Jhanak, not wanting Mehek to get into trouble, takes full responsibility and tells Ketki she was dancing quietly in her room. Ketki scolds Vihaan for not setting boundaries for his wife and questions where the ghungroos even came from. Mehek admits she brought them.

Meanwhile, at Mrinalini’s house, her father warns her that marrying Choton will only bring her misery. But Anjana speaks up, urging him to look at his daughter’s unhappiness. She gently reminds him that Mrinalini’s joy matters too before she steps into the kitchen to make khichdi. Back at Vihaan’s house, Ketki angrily asks whether they plan to turn her home into a dance academy. Priyanshi insists that nothing wrong has happened, and Riddhi hints that it was Sejal who brought Ketki there in the first place. Sejal mocks Jhanak again, prompting Ketki to demand an explanation about the ghungroos. Mehek tells her that Praveen Kumar had brought them, but Ketki lashes out at her. Jhanak tries to shield Mehek, explaining again that the dancing was confined to her room. Ketki lashes out, comparing Jhanak to a mujrawali, a term laced with stigma. Vihaan is taken aback by Ketki’s harsh words. Jhanak calmly responds, saying there’s nothing shameful about being a mujrawali—dancers are skilled artists who deserve respect, not contempt. Vihaan tries to settle the matter, but Jhanak stands firm. She insists she’s done nothing wrong and adds that Ketki has no right to insult dance or dancers. She challenges Ketki’s rigid thinking, saying that the world is much bigger than the walls of this house. Prachi intervenes, warning Jhanak not to argue further, stating that this house runs on Ketki’s values. But Jhanak maintains that it’s not fair if only one person’s rules matter.
Elsewhere, Rihaan apologizes to Kul Bhushan for failing in something, but Kul Bhushan says at least he made the effort. Rihaan confesses everything to him. Mr. Mittal criticizes him for even taking on the responsibility, and Rihaan snaps at him in return. Kul Bhushan then shows Rihaan a photo of Anirudh, asking him to keep an eye on Vihaan’s family. Rihaan is surprised to recognize Anirudh and tells Kul Bhushan he’s already seen him at Vihaan’s house. Kul Bhushan smirks, realizing Jhanak is also there. He says she won’t be able to escape him for long.
Back at home, Ketki tells Vihaan that she’s not the right woman for him. Jhanak calmly repeats that dancing isn’t wrong. Ketki threatens to throw her out if she tries to change the house rules. Vihaan objects to her tone, but Ketki retorts that this is how Jhanak was raised. Jhanak pleads with her not to drag her parents into the argument. She declares that her identity matters, and she won’t let anyone take it away from her. Turning to Sejal, Jhanak questions what kind of mother she is—stifling her own daughter’s talent instead of nurturing it. Sejal coldly says that girls from their family don’t dance. As Vihaan tries to calm things down, they hear Ahaan crying from another room.
Choton, meanwhile, tries to bond with Mrinalini’s father, offering to care for him and suggesting morning walks together. He encourages him to find a good match for Mrinalini—though the real message is clear: he believes he’s the right one. Mrinalini quietly tells Anjana that her father never listens to anyone. But surprisingly, her father finally agrees to her marrying Choton.
Back at home, Jhanak picks up a crying Ahaan. Ketki says the child will now stay with her. But Vihaan firmly tells her that Ahaan won’t stay with anyone except his mother. Ketki blames Jhanak, calling her careless for dancing while the baby was in another room. Trying to settle things, Vihaan promises that Jhanak won’t dance in the house anymore. Hurt, Jhanak looks at him and asks how he could say such a thing. She says she loves dancing—it brings her peace. She promises Ketki that she would never shame the family by dancing outside the home, but insists she should be allowed to express herself in her own room.
