The episode starts with Arshi asking Anirudh if it’s about Jhanak. He says no and tells her he will freshen up before coming back. Aditya tells Jhanak that he knows she loves Anirudh and accepts their friendship. Jhanak agrees to go for the shoot and says she’ll go for his sake. They head out together.
Mimi suggests inviting Lalon and Appu when they make special food, but Anjana worries they can’t because Lalon has a lot of work. Mimi says that Lalon won’t resist the smell of good food. Lalon gets angry and says he knows when something is a joke or an insult and doesn’t need anyone to lecture him.
Mimi and Rumi tease Lalon, which makes Anjana and Appu uncomfortable. Lalon jokes about eating all the dishes in his dreams, making Appu laugh. Tanuja tells Mimi and Rumi to stop teasing and to eat. She also teases Lalon. Anjana defends him, saying it’s their first time here, so it’s not right to make fun of them. Tanuja questions if she said something wrong and Bablu tells her to stay quiet and not insult Lalon. Lalon stands up. Mimi says more food is coming and asks him to sit down. Rumi adds they always have extra food. Bipasha suggests that Lalon just eat and not make a fuss. Lalon, feeling insulted, says that although they have money, they don’t have manners. He questions what values Rumi and Mimi will take to their in-laws. Tanuja shouts at him. Lalon asks if he said anything wrong, and points out that they might insult their husbands one day too. Tanuja asks how he dares say that.
Appu asks Lalon to sit and eat, saying her mom made the food for him. Anjana says he should eat. Lalon says they should have thought about respecting him before, as he may be poor but isn’t greedy. Bablu apologizes, saying he didn’t expect things to turn out this way. He explains that he got the money for the feast himself, not from Shubh, and asked Choton to help him because Choton likes Lalon. Bablu urges Lalon to eat, promising not to call him again if he leaves. Anjana adds that it’s a special day and Bablu wanted to treat everyone, but Mimi and Rumi can’t tolerate it. Bipasha says the situation is being blown out of proportion, and that Lalon is just too sensitive. She says it’s his problem if he feels insulted. Choton and Mrinalini arrive, and Choton asks if there’s a problem. Anjana explains that life is hard for the poor, and Lalon feels disrespected. Mimi denies it, but Appu complains to Choton about Rumi and Mimi insulting Lalon. Choton asks Lalon to sit and eat for Anjana and Bablu’s sake. Mrinalini, feeling like an outsider too, says they both shouldn’t care and should just eat. Anjana asks Lalon to sit. Bablu reminds everyone that Choton also contributed to the feast, and Lalon agrees to stay and eat.
Lalon decides to eat in style, even though he’s poor. He serves food to everyone and tells them to enjoy as it’s Bablu’s treat. Tanuja gets annoyed, but Lalon tells her it’s just a joke and she shouldn’t get so upset. Mrinalini encourages Mimi to fight back, and asks Bipasha if she’s thinking of anything. Bipasha seems confused, and Mrinalini teases that Bipasha always sides with Rumi and Mimi. Tanuja says Mrinalini isn’t part of the family, but Choton says she will be soon, as he plans to marry her. This surprises everyone, and they all smile. Appu suggests having sweets, and Tanuja gets angry, leaving with Mimi and Rumi.
Switching to the main plot, Arshi asks Anirudh to sign some papers. Shubh explains that these papers are important, and Shrishti warns Anirudh that they will take action if he mistreats Arshi. Tanuja says they don’t need to know if Jhanak was ill or not, so he doesn’t need to do anything for her. Anirudh says he promised Arshi, but Arshi tells him his promises mean nothing anymore. He tries to defend himself, but Shrishti scolds him. Arshi says she trusted him even when he broke promises, but she can’t trust him anymore. Anirudh asks why she’s still with him if she thinks he’s so bad. Arshi replies that she married him to keep the family together, not to break things apart. Anirudh pleads with her not to humiliate him, but Arshi insists that he sign the papers.
Anirudh argues but finally signs the papers. Shubh tells him to read everything carefully, as he must fulfill all the conditions. Arshi says he will do it and will cut all ties with Jhanak. Tanuja points out that he signed without reading it. Shubh warns him that if he doesn’t meet the conditions, there will be consequences. Anirudh sarcastically taunts him and says he needs some fresh air. He leaves.
Anirudh and Jhanak both think about each other. The song Tere Mere Milan plays in the background. Anirudh thinks it’s better for him to stay away from her. Jhanak cries, and Anirudh, feeling exhausted, wishes things had turned out differently. He sits alone, sad and emotional.
