Omi gathers the Pradhan family and delivers the heartbreaking news that his eldest son has passed away. Bhushan and Alok, however, seem impatient, remarking to the Chavan family that if this was all they had to say, they shouldn’t have been summoned. Vinod makes a similar comment, but Satish quickly reminds them that while those who have died are gone, the living still need care and attention. Deepali chimes in, saying they also don’t want to lose the match by being late.

Omi then turns the conversation toward marriage, sharing his thoughts with Neil and the Pradhan family. He says that while modern men often look for simple wives, his own experience has taught him that the best partner is someone who can hold a family together. The Pradhan family praises Neil in return, clearly impressed. At that moment, Aditi and Prajakta arrive. Omi introduces Aditi as the daughter of his late eldest son and asks if Juhi is ready to meet the groom’s side. Aditi eagerly confirms, beaming that Juhi looks like a heroine, before hurrying off. Omi apologizes for her behavior, explaining that Aditi has a mild mental illness and that finding a suitable match for her has been difficult. Neil watches her closely, feeling uneasy about Mohit’s family connection in this situation.
Amai quietly pulls Neil aside, reminding him that their family is already weighed down by grief. She pleads with him not to reject the proposal, warning that it could shatter their fragile family bonds. Still, Neil feels torn, knowing that if he agrees, someone dear to him could be hurt deeply. Leena and Vinod then request to meet the widow of Omi’s eldest son. Omi agrees but makes a brief, guarded remark before calling her in. Lakshmi appears, and Leena and Vinod express heartfelt sympathy for her loss. Lakshmi, however, speaks cryptically, saying only she knows what her husband left behind. When Leena presses her for an explanation, Omi discreetly signals her to stay quiet. Swallowing her pain, Lakshmi keeps silent and walks away.
Aditi, noticing Lakshmi’s sadness, changes the subject and suggests that Teju accompany Juhi when she meets the groom’s family. Teju hesitates, but Juhi, feeling anxious, begs her to come. Eventually, Teju agrees, sensing Juhi’s nervousness.
