Leena confidently assures her family that Neil will only marry a girl of her choice. She warns him to keep his distance from Mohit’s family and announces that she will be contacting the Chavan family soon to fix his wedding date. When Vinod asks Neil if he is happy with the arrangement, Leena quickly cuts him off, saying his opinion isn’t necessary because she always makes decisions in his best interest. Feeling ignored, Neil remarks bitterly that his feelings clearly don’t matter and walks away. Leena, however, tells the family that Neil has no objections.

At the Chavan household, the family gathers to perform a Pooja for Mohit’s soul. When the Pandit calls for Mohit’s wife and children to join the ritual, Mukta steps forward—but Lakshmi blocks her. With cold authority, Lakshmi declares that she, not Mukta, is Mohit’s real wife and that neither society nor the law recognizes Mukta’s marriage. Mukta tries to explain, but Lakshmi refuses to let her take part, even threatening to leave with the property inherited after Mohit’s death if the family dares to include her.
Mukta assures Lakshmi she wants nothing to do with the property and pleads to join the ceremony. Aditi also tries to convince Lakshmi, but she refuses to budge. Teju speaks up, criticizing Lakshmi’s behavior. Satish scolds Teju for disrespect, but she stands her ground, refusing to stay silent while her mother is humiliated.
Lakshmi and Aditi begin the Pooja, but before it can go further, Neil arrives at Chavan Niwas and overhears the heated exchange. Learning that Lakshmi is determined to keep Mukta out of the ritual, Neil steps in. He offers to take Mukta and her children to perform the rites at a nearby temple instead. Satish objects, but Omi intervenes, giving his permission. Neil then leaves with Mukta and the children to complete the ceremony elsewhere.
