In a flashback, the narrative rewinds to ten hours earlier. Savi is seen running around frantically, showing Kiyaan’s photo to strangers, desperately trying to find him. Amid the chaos, Rajat calls her, urging her to stay calm. He assures her that he’s on his way. Just then, a banana vendor tells Savi he saw a boy matching Kiyaan’s description being taken away in a funeral services van. Alarmed, she tries to call Rajat again but gets no response. She leaves him an audio message, only for her phone to die seconds later. Determined, she hails an auto-rickshaw and heads to the funeral services office to investigate herself.
Meanwhile, Rajat and Ashika are still searching through the gaming event venue, hoping for a lead. At the funeral home, Savi confronts the manager, who denies knowing anything about Kiyaan. But when she spots a sticker with Kiyaan’s name outside the office, she knows something’s not right. She questions the manager again, but he dismisses her with cold indifference. Furious, Savi warns him that if she finds any trace of Kiyaan there, she’ll make sure he faces consequences. She storms inside, combing through the premises for any clue. Shortly after, Rajat and Ashika arrive. Rajat plays Savi’s voice message and follows the trail to the same funeral services office. They find Savi inside, still searching. Ashika, emotional and suspicious, immediately blames Savi for Kiyaan’s disappearance. Rajat, however, cuts in, asking Savi what she’s found. Savi explains that the manager has been stonewalling her. Rajat then calls Raju and tells him to bring the police.
Soon, with police present, Rajat’s family arrives at the morgue. A coffin sits ominously, and Rajat demands it be opened. Initially, the morgue staff refuses, citing protocol. But with the police’s support, they relent. The family holds its breath as the coffin is opened—only to find that the body inside is not Kiyaan’s. There’s a brief moment of relief, but it doesn’t last. The inspector informs them that another child’s body has been found nearby. Fearing the worst, the family rushes to verify.
Back at the hospital, Bhagyashree sits in the waiting area, praying with trembling hands, blaming herself for not accompanying Kiyaan to the event. When the doctor emerges, Savi rushes forward, clutching at hope. But the doctor’s solemn face tells them everything. “We’re sorry,” he says. “We couldn’t save him.” The world crashes down around them. The Thakkars are inconsolable, their worst fear now a harrowing reality.
Later, grief fills the room like fog. Kiyaan’s photograph is placed before the family, and everyone sits in mourning. Savi quietly approaches the picture, holding flowers. But before she can offer them, Ashika explodes in rage. She pushes Savi away and hurls accusations at her. “You’re the reason my son is gone!” she screams. “Get out of this house!” Shantanu tries to calm her, saying that blaming Savi won’t bring peace. But Ashika is too broken to listen.
Tara steps in and sides with Ashika, accusing Savi of selfishness and carelessness. “This is your fault,” she spits. “You were insecure and negligent.” Shantanu continues defending Savi, reminding them that grief often clouds judgment. He says Savi, too, knows what it means to lose someone.
But Tara hits a cruel nerve. With venom in her voice, she snaps, “You don’t understand our pain. You’re not a mother—that’s why God never gave you that gift.” Her words pierce Savi like a knife. She stands still, shattered, unable to speak, her heartbreak now doubled—once for Kiyaan, and again for herself.
