Neil finally gathers the courage to confess his feelings to Tejaswini. He admits that he never believed in love happening so suddenly, but everything changed when he met her. He recalls how fate kept crossing their paths, and from the very first moment, he felt something special for her. Speaking from the heart, he tells her that he has loved her since the day they met.

But Tejaswini’s response is cold and firm. She rejects his confession without hesitation, making it clear that even if life had been kinder to her, she would never choose him. Neil, she says, is not the life partner she envisions for herself. She warns him never to speak about this matter again, drawing a sharp line between them.
Afterward, Neil checks on Vedaant’s admission interview. Vedaant runs up to him, brimming with happiness, and proudly announces that he has been accepted into the school. Overjoyed, Neil suggests celebrating with a meal at a restaurant. Tejaswini, still upset, refuses and insists they eat at home. Neil tries to reason with her, asking her not to vent her frustration on him. Before the tension can grow, Vedaant begs them both to come along, and for his sake, Tejaswini reluctantly agrees.
Later, when they return home, Vedaant excitedly shares his achievement with Omi and the family. Instead of celebrating, Lakshmi and Satish scold him for eating out before coming home. Their anger shifts to Tejaswini when they discover she joined Neil for the meal. They rebuke her for not refusing his invitation. Juhi questions why it’s even an issue, but Satish quickly silences her.
When Lakshmi presses Vedaant to say what he ate, he keeps quiet out of fear. Lakshmi raises her hand to punish him, but Tejaswini immediately steps in. She reveals that they ate Hakka noodles and ice cream, reminding the family that they used to enjoy the same with Mohit when he was alive, and no one ever questioned it back then. With emotion in her voice, she accuses Lakshmi of being harsh only because of the family’s current struggles.
Stung by her words, Lakshmi lashes out and shockingly blames Tejaswini for Mohit’s death. The room falls silent. Mukta, unable to stay quiet, challenges Lakshmi by asking why Mohit left them if Tejaswini was truly at fault. Her question leaves Lakshmi shaken and without an answer.
The next day, at the Pradhan house, a different storm brews. Neil suddenly falls ill with a high fever. His body burns at 104°F, leaving his family terrified. They rush him to the hospital, fearing the worst. In the chaos, Leena asks Nandini to postpone the engagement until Neil recovers.
