The story begins with Meghla and Mahua visiting a temple to pray for Adrija. Meghla says it’s Adrija’s birthday and she wants her to get the best education and a good job. Mahua adds that she should also pray for Adrija to find a nice husband. Meghla assures her that Adrija will get a good husband and a loving family. Mahua agrees and says she raised Adrija with lots of love. She says Adrija may be quick to anger, but she’s also bright and clever. She then tells Meghla that she raised her with love too, but Meghla didn’t complete her studies and only learns classical music now. Mahua worries about how Meghla will manage in life. They both offer their prayers.
At the same time, Param tells everyone that Ranbir is leaving for Darjeeling. Meher brings some warm clothes for him. Ranbir says he won’t need them. Dadi supports Meher and says it’s cold there. Param mentions the temperature is just 16 degrees and tells Ranbir to carry the clothes just in case. Harman sits nearby, looking upset. Param asks what’s bothering him. Harman replies that there’s no need to ask. Meanwhile, Ashnoor and Aarav argue over a ball. Harman scolds them and complains that Simran is always working, so what will the children learn? Ranbir says they will manage the kids together. Harman continues to shout at the children. Ranbir asks him to stop. Both Ranbir and Param say they will play with the kids. Harman grumbles that no one knows when Simran will return. Meher explains that Simran has gone to report on an important news story. She then sends the kids to take a bath.
Mahua and Meghla come back home and wish Adrija a happy birthday. Adrija reacts with irritation. They explain that they had gone to the temple to pray for her. Chandan says it’s good that Meghla went to pray. Meghla repeats that she had prayed only for Adrija. Mahua tries to calm Adrija and hugs her. Meghla brings Rasmalai for everyone. Chandan enjoys it, but Adrija refuses to eat it. Meghla feels hurt by this.
Later, Ranbir laughs as Meher insists he should wear the warm clothes. Meher tells him to wear them for her sake. Ranbir says he won’t feel cold. Meher then talks about Darjeeling, which she calls her dream city. She remembers her old friend, Iravati, and shares some past memories. Meher says that a sad incident happened, and now she can’t meet Iravati again. Dadi asks why. Meher explains that after she moved to Delhi for college, Iravati and her family moved to Kolkata. Iravati even attended Meher’s wedding. They had even decided to get their children married one day. Harman jokes about it. Dadi asks who Iravati married. Meher says Iravati got married and went far away. Meher couldn’t attend the wedding as Zoravar was too busy with work. She tells everyone that Iravati, her daughter, and her husband died in a train accident. Meher sits sadly remembering this. Param is shocked and asks if all three passed away. Meher says that’s what her friends told her. Ranbir says he’s very sorry to hear this. Meher asks him to visit places like the bungalow, church, and tea garden in Darjeeling. Ranbir agrees.
