Saras And Kumud 12th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
Saras and Kumud are busy cleaning their new home, smiling and dancing as they work together. Saras takes a painting in his hands and asks where she wants it hung. She points to a wall, and he starts hammering in a nail. Just then, Prashant arrives and stops him, asking if they can avoid using that wall. Saras agrees without argument, and Prashant thanks them, saying he’s heading out to buy some things and can bring them whatever they need. Kumud politely says they already have everything. After he leaves, Saras wonders why Prashant didn’t want the painting there. Kumud doesn’t have an answer, so Saras decides to hang it in their bedroom instead.

When the house is finally arranged, Saras looks around proudly and says they should rest for a while. He stretches out on the sofa, but Kumud smiles mischievously and hits him with a cushion, telling him there’s still plenty left to do. He asks what, and she says they need to place Mata ji’s idol. He suggests putting it in the room, but she insists on the hall. They begin to argue playfully, so Saras proposes a coin toss. He cheats to win, and Kumud quickly catches him. She calls him a cheater and says they’ll do it her way. Saras agrees, but only if he can get a big smart TV. Kumud complains that he’s never home and she doesn’t watch TV, but Saras says he needs it to watch cricket matches. She finally says yes but adds that she’ll buy a washing machine and microwave. Soon, they’re in a lighthearted debate over other purchases—he wants a sofa-cum-bed for when they fight, she agrees. Then he brings up getting an SUV, while she insists a small car is enough for just the two of them. He argues that when people from Ratnagiri visit, they’ll need a big car. She says they won’t all come at once, but he still dreams aloud about an eight-seater.
Elsewhere, Anushka is plotting her own little revenge against Kabir. Wearing gloves, she takes a packet of itching powder and sprinkles it into his T-shirt. Kabir is on the phone with Mr. Mehra, discussing how all the samples are ready. Anushka grins to herself, determined to end the “game” he started. Kabir later finds his shirt lying on the floor and wonders how it got there, but doesn’t think much of it. After his bath, he puts it on—and almost immediately, the itching begins. He scratches furiously, and Anushka watches with delight. When he catches her laughing, he accuses her of doing it. She holds up the packet and says it was the powder, not her. He scolds her for having no shame, and she fires back, asking if he felt ashamed when he came into her room pretending to be a ghost.
Just then, Guniyal comes in and tells Kabir to wear his shirt properly because an aunty is visiting. Still itching, he says it’s hot, but she lets it pass. Badimaa joins them and invites them to eat. Kabir tries to delay, but Anushka insists, enjoying his discomfort. He has no choice but to put the shirt back on and follow her, while she hides her laughter. Back at the new house, Kumud asks Saras what to do about lunch but finds he’s not there. She begins to worry, only to hear him come up behind her. She screams in surprise, and he laughs, saying he just went to get some snacks. He offers to feed her by hand, but the doorbell rings. It’s the newspaper man, asking if they want a subscription. Saras says yes but tells him to come tomorrow. He returns to Kumud and tries again to feed her, but the bell rings once more—it’s the cable man, also told to come tomorrow. They laugh at the interruptions, but then the bell rings again. This time, Kumud goes to answer it herself.
A woman named Sangeeta stands there, claiming to be their maid and asking for ₹3000 as her pay. Kumud tells her they never called anyone. The maid insists that no home can run without her and flirts a little when she sees Saras, asking if he lives there. He says yes and introduces Kumud as his wife. Sangeeta asks if she can start tomorrow, but Kumud refuses. Saras suggests keeping her to help with the work, but Kumud shoots him a sharp look and says no again. The maid leaves reluctantly.
Meanwhile, at the Desai house, everyone is having lunch. Kabir is still scratching, and Vidyachatur asks what’s wrong. Kabir insists it’s nothing, while Anushka teases him. Badimaa advises him to use some powder, and Yash’s mother suggests neem, while Vidyachatur laughs, saying they all bathe daily. The table bursts into laughter. Kabir excuses himself to change, and Anushka quickly follows, clearly pleased with herself.
Back at Kumud’s, Saras tries again to feed her, but his phone rings. The call is urgent, and he has to leave immediately. Kumud turns away, upset, but Saras apologizes and insists on feeding her before he goes. She finally lets him, and he thanks her, giving her a hug before rushing out.
