Saras And Kumud 16th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
Kumud is busy in the kitchen, carefully preparing a meal just for Saras. She smiles to herself, pleased with how it has turned out, and hopes he comes home soon. The doorbell rings, and her face lights up instantly. When she opens the door, she finds Saras standing there with a man selling plants. Kumud greets them warmly and buys a few. Later, she plants them with care, saying that once the flowers bloom, they will make the place look even more beautiful. Saras smiles and says nothing could be more beautiful than her. He adds that he knows her taste well, which is why he brought them. When Saras says he’s tired, he asks if she missed him. She playfully says she didn’t miss him at all, then quickly admits she missed him a lot.

They talk about her day, and Kumud tells him how the door got stuck earlier and how Prashant came to help. Saras is relieved that they have such a good landlord and says that some landlords trouble tenants, but they are lucky. Kumud hopes the watchman won’t disturb them tonight, but almost immediately, the sound of banging and whistling echoes from outside. Saras decides to go talk to him, despite Kumud telling him to let it go. He heads downstairs and finds the watchman making a racket. When Saras asks why, the man says he’s doing his duty and keeping thieves away. Saras tells him that his job is to catch thieves, not to wake up the residents. The guard smugly mentions that “aunty” will explain it tomorrow. Saras warns him to stay quiet and heads back inside, while the guard mutters to himself that tomorrow will be interesting.
Elsewhere, Anushka is fuming, telling Kusum that men can be shameless. She explains that Radhika’s husband cheated on her, blamed her for his unhappiness, and even filed for divorce. She says she would never have left him if the roles were reversed. Kusum listens thoughtfully. In the kitchen, Kumud asks the maid Sangeeta to watch the oil on the stove, but Sangeeta apologizes, saying she couldn’t see well because it was dark. When Kumud turns on the lights, she notices the fridge isn’t working and says she’ll have to call a mechanic. She also notices Sangeeta isn’t working as well as usual and wonders why.
Saras calls out asking for his belt, and Kumud takes it to him. He teases her, saying she should win the “Best Wife” award, and pulls her closer for a romantic moment. He asks for a good luck kiss before his meeting, but she shyly pushes him away. Sangeeta interrupts to say she needs to sweep the floor, but Kumud tells her to hang the clothes first. Saras asks for his sandwich, and Sangeeta offers to pack it while Kumud leaves. Saras calls after her with a smile.
Meanwhile, Vidyachatur leaves for the factory with Danny. Badimaa, Guniyal, and Kusum go to the market, telling Anushka to watch the house. Anushka assures them she will. Once alone, she decides to take it easy, while Kabir thinks to himself that everyone has left them alone on purpose — but that things will go according to his plan. Kumud reminds Saras about calling the fridge mechanic, but he just teases her and leaves.
Kabir takes a call and, in a chilling tone, says he will bring his revolver and kill someone. Anushka overhears and freezes in shock. She hides when he appears, then later sees him in the kitchen holding a knife, staring at it. She’s horrified, convinced he’s a professional killer. Kabir casually puts the knife away and drinks water, but to Anushka, his calmness is even scarier.
Outside, Saras scolds the watchman again before leaving in a taxi. Kabir takes his revolver from the cupboard, saying he will “aim once and fire six times.” Anushka panics, locks him inside his room, and refuses to let him out until someone returns. Kabir demands she open the door, but she won’t.
Just then, the fridge mechanic arrives. Kumud, thinking Saras sent him, calls to confirm. Saras says he forgot, but realizes Prashant must have sent the man after hearing about the problem. Kumud thanks him when she learns the mechanic doesn’t even take payment from Prashant because Prashant once helped him in hard times. Kumud smiles, touched by the gesture.

Anushka shocks everyone by revealing that Kabir is planning to kill someone. She tells them exactly what she overheard during his phone call.
