Saras And Kumud 18th August 2025 Written Update Starlife
The episode begins with Prashant asking Kumud what happened. Nervous, she points at the wall and says there’s something there. Prashant looks toward Mahesh just as Saras arrives and questions Kumud. She repeats her words, but when Saras offers to check, she stops him in fear. Prashant volunteers to see it himself, and Kumud explains she saw something unusual. Saras insists she come along with him. Finally, Prashant and Mahesh examine the wall and discover it’s only a chameleon. Saras teases Kumud, saying she got frightened for nothing. Embarrassed, Kumud admits it scared her.
The guard chuckles at her reaction, and Saras mocks her playfully. Prashant, however, sternly tells the guard to remove the chameleon and behave respectfully. Saras continues teasing Kumud, while Prashant reassures her that if something like this happens again, she can call him or the guard immediately. He explains that such incidents are common because of the trees in the society. After he leaves with Mahesh, Saras jokes that Kumud’s screams were so loud the poor chameleon must have run away. Kumud complains that while he spends his day at the office, she feels alone and fearful at home. Saras gently assures her there’s no need to worry. When she argues it might happen again tomorrow, he laughs and says if it does, she should invite it for lunch.
Meanwhile, at Vidyachatur’s house, the family discusses Kabir and Anushka. Danny remarks that he’s curious about what Anushka will do, while Kusum admits she also wants to know. Vidyachatur, however, decides to go wait for the rain. Later, Danny notices Kusum ironing his clothes and asks her to rest. She insists on preparing his outfits for the next day. Danny jokes that he won’t wear so many clothes in one day. She explains that one should always have a backup. He senses something is off, checks her temperature, and asks why she’s been acting strangely. Kusum brushes it off, saying it’s her duty as a wife to take care of him. Danny then hands her a packet. Curious, she opens it and finds a saree. Shocked, she asks why he bought it. Danny jokes it’s for his girlfriend, only to clarify later that it’s just a sample, since their choices differ. Thinking of Anushka’s words, Kusum asks if he is happy with her. Danny assures her she’s the best gift of his life and says he’s very happy with her. He hugs her lovingly.
Later, Saras apologizes to Kumud, holding her hand. He admits he couldn’t talk to her because of work, even though he wanted to. Kumud says she did feel hurt, but not because of him. She felt bad because she didn’t try calling again. She tells him she understands how important his work is. Saras thanks her and embraces her, then lies down, saying he is tired. When he asks about her day, Kumud describes doing household chores, cooking, spending time with plants, and mentions Sangeeta, who worked diligently on her first day but slacked today. She keeps talking, only to notice Saras has already fallen asleep. She smiles as “More Piya” plays in the background.
As she lies down, Kumud hears loud music disturbing Saras’ sleep. She closes the doors and windows, but the noise continues. Saras asks who is playing such loud music, and Kumud, visibly annoyed, decides to check. She rings the bell at the neighboring flat despite Saras’ warning to wait until morning. An elderly lady finally opens the door, shocking Kumud and Saras. Kumud politely asks her to lower the volume. The lady bluntly refuses, saying this is Mumbai where nights are long, and she cannot sleep without music. Kumud pleads with her, but the lady rudely scolds her and even demands Saras make Kumud apologize. Saras, not wanting conflict, apologizes instead. Kumud gets upset and asks why he supported the lady. Saras explains he didn’t want to fight with an elder and suggests they speak to the secretary instead. Kumud remains annoyed and declares she won’t talk to him. She lies down angrily, while Saras calmly wishes her good night.
The next morning, Kusum gives Danny his tiffin, and he playfully asks where his “extra efficient wife” is. Kusum smiles, but she gets tense when Danny receives a call from someone named Kiran. He warmly talks about London, guitars, coffee, and catching up soon. Kusum worries, wondering who Kiran is.
At Kumud’s home, she grows frustrated as Sangeeta doesn’t arrive for work. Saras jokes that her anger is like a weather forecast. Kumud serves him tea, saying she added poison in it. Saras spits it out and laughs, apologizing for spilling on the table. He takes her hand, asking her to join him at an office party that evening. To his surprise, Kumud agrees easily, making him wonder if she’s alright.
Elsewhere, Kabir bumps into Anushka. She ignores him and walks away, but Kabir is delighted just seeing her. Distracted, he walks into a door and hurts himself. Anushka rushes back, apologizing, and offers to escort him to his room. Kabir refuses, but she insists, asking for his hand. He gives it reluctantly, and she smiles.

Kumud asks Saras to say something. Saras gazes at her and says she looks very beautiful. Prashant notices Saras and Kumud leaving together and becomes angry.
