The episode begins with Saras returning home late. Glancing at the time, he quietly opens the door with his duplicate keys and steps inside. He sees Kumud sleeping on the sofa. He gently closes the door behind him, takes a seat nearby, and watches her. Tentatively, he reaches out, and she stirs awake. “You’re here,” she says sleepily. “Let’s go, I’m ready.” He shakes his head, apologizing for being late. She notices the time but reassures him, “It’s not your fault, it rained.” He sighs, confessing that it’s not just tonight—he always gets busy with work and doesn’t spend enough time with her. A soft song plays as he admits that he feels guilty whenever he comes home and doesn’t give her attention. She listens quietly, understanding. He suggests she go home for a few days so she can be happy while he focuses on work.

She protests, worried he will be alone, but he explains that everyone misses her at home, and it will cheer him up too. After some thought, she reluctantly agrees. The next morning, Saras is on a call with a client, but Kumud hesitates, packing her bag with a heavy heart. Noticing her sadness, he ends the call early and asks her what’s wrong. She admits she’s afraid, sensing that something bad might happen. He takes her hand and reassures her, reminding her that they have endured many challenges together and will not abandon each other. “Your Saraswatichandra will never leave you, in this life or the next seven,” he says, hugging her tightly.
Meanwhile, Danny arrives home and notices Vidyachatur helping in the kitchen. He questions him, and Badimaa explains that Vidyachatur often helps out when he’s free. Danny then tells Kusum about Kabir, who misunderstood Anushka’s visit as a scheme by the family to get him to marry her. He explains that Anushka came on her own for her project and will leave afterward. Kusum is asked to support Anushka discreetly, without letting Kabir know, to avoid upsetting him.
At breakfast, Saras and Kumud share a quiet moment. Kumud wonders why he isn’t stopping her from leaving, and he explains that he can’t bear to see her sad while she’s alone here. He promises to drop her at the airport, canceling his meetings if necessary. She insists he go for his work first, but he assures her he’ll come with her. Elsewhere, Anushka struggles with heavy books, and Kabir comes to help. He confesses that he doesn’t actually play cards or drink; the act was just a ruse because he felt pressured by his family. Anushka, having overheard Danny, reassures him that she didn’t want to marry either. She explains her skepticism about marriage, having seen how it changes people, destroys identities, and leads to lies and heartbreak. Kabir listens quietly as they return home.
Saras and Kumud arrive near the taxi. She expresses concern for him, reminding him to eat and take care of himself. Saras answers a client call but keeps the client on hold, telling Kumud he’ll miss her. She promises to miss him too. They share a heartfelt glance, waving goodbye with heavy hearts. Kumud cries silently on her way to the airport. Meanwhile, Vidyachatur signs papers as everyone shares laughs. Kabir and Anushka return together, and Danny inquires about them. Anushka mentions that her father has arranged her flight home in two days, much to Kabir’s surprise. She explains she must complete her project but promises to visit again during her vacation, bringing smiles and ice cream for everyone. Kabir watches thoughtfully.
Prashant, observing Kumud’s flat, wonders why she hasn’t appeared on the balcony. Using binoculars, he scans the apartment and notices Saras at the gate. Curious, he approaches him to ask if Kumud has gone anywhere. Kumud, meanwhile, reminisces about her moments with Saras in Mumbai, smiling at the memory of his promise to always be with her like the moon with its light.
