Saras And Kumud 31st July 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Kabir proudly introducing a girl to the family, and everyone assumes she is Anushka. They warmly welcome and bless her, happy to meet the one they believe is Kabir’s bride-to-be. Kusum, however, feels unsettled—something about the girl’s behavior doesn’t seem familiar. Still, she embraces her, trying to brush off her doubts. Meanwhile, the girl silently admires the warmth and love in the household, clearly touched by the family’s kindness. Kabir has a brief word with Danny and asks about his meeting. Danny tells him he cancelled it, and Kabir says he should have done that earlier. The family continues to treat the girl affectionately, and she even brings Kabir a cup of tea. Danny remarks to Kusum that the girl seems genuinely sweet, and Badimaa compliments her for being well-mannered. When Badimaa curiously asks why she came, Kusum answers for her, saying it’s for a project.

The girl quickly corrects her, saying she isn’t here for studies or work. Her mother sent her here, and she’s already feeling at home. Looking at Kabir with admiration, she smiles and boldly declares that she plans to stay after her marriage. This unexpected comment stuns everyone. She adds that she didn’t know her future husband would be so handsome. Kabir chokes on his tea, clearly confused, and turns to Kusum, asking what Anushka is saying. The girl, however, clears the air—her name is Manu, not Anushka. Kusum is shocked and realizes they’ve made a mistake. Manu becomes emotional, saying she also came expecting to meet someone else. The family consoles her, and Kusum suggests Kabir drop her back home, but he refuses. Kusum then tells Danny to do it instead. He agrees, but everyone is left wondering where the real Anushka is.
Just then, Anushka makes her entrance, looking stunning and full of life. Kabir can’t help but stare at her, taken aback by her modern appearance. Kusum rushes over and hugs her warmly. Anushka apologizes for not informing them she wouldn’t be wearing yellow. She compliments Kusum’s unchanged beauty and cheerful smile. Kusum teases her about how much she’s changed and jokes about her missing thick glasses. They laugh and catch up before Kusum introduces Anushka to everyone. Anushka greets the family with her bubbly charm, and when she meets Danny, she teases him, creating a light and cheerful atmosphere. Kusum then introduces her to Kabir, who’s still processing the chaos. Manu speaks up, feeling left out, and Danny steps in to take her home. She gives him her address, and the two leave together.
Anushka announces she wants to stay with them because she’s certain everyone will enjoy her presence. Kabir silently groans, already anticipating the trouble she might bring. Meanwhile, Saras is going through school files and notices something odd—the food quality in the records is good, which contradicts the food poisoning incident. This leads him to suspect someone on the inside. He considers whether the cook could be involved and wonders what could have driven him—was it need or greed? He decides he must get to the bottom of it so no other child suffers again. He sets off to investigate.
Back at home, Anushka tells the family about her project. Vidyachatur says the family already runs a factory related to her work, and Danny and Kabir will assist her. She excitedly promises to throw a party if her project succeeds. Kabir, however, knows the real reason Anushka was sent there and is not too thrilled about it. Anushka chatters non-stop. At the school, Saras questions the watchman about who delivers the grains. The watchman reveals that only Shankar, the cook, and the principal have keys to the storeroom. Saras now suspects Shankar but recalls Kumud’s trust in him and decides to meet him personally before jumping to conclusions.
Later, Kusum brings Anushka to her room. Anushka admires the beauty of the Desai home. Kusum tells her to freshen up while she gets food ready. Anushka agrees and opens the window to enjoy the breeze. As she takes in the view and praises Ratnagiri, she spots a cockroach and screams. In her panic, she slips—and Kabir rushes in and catches her just in time. Their eyes meet in a brief moment of intensity. Then he abruptly lets her go, and she falls. He scolds her for running around like a fool and assumes she used the cockroach as an excuse to get his attention. She protests, but he walks off. Anushka mutters to herself that she’ll deal with his attitude later—first, she needs to get rid of the cockroach.
Danny finds Kusum reading and compliments her, saying she looks like she’s waiting for him. He tells her how Manu cried the whole way and admits he did it all to impress Anushka, who he finds gorgeous. Kusum pretends to be upset, scolding him for praising another woman in front of her. Danny laughs it off and assures her that she’s the only one he sees. He asks her to smile, and she finally gives in with a small smile, warning him not to joke like that again.
Meanwhile, Saras visits Shankar’s house. He introduces himself to Shankar’s wife as Kumud’s husband. She informs him Shankar has gone to the police station and welcomes him inside. She insists they are innocent and complains that no one believes them. Saras reassures her that if Shankar is truly innocent, nothing will happen. When she offers him tea, he asks for cold water instead. She mentions they don’t own a fridge but will get water anyway, and she leaves him with their son. Saras casually chats with the child, asking to see his books. When the boy leaves to get them, Saras takes the chance to look around the house. In the kitchen, he’s shocked to find grain sacks hidden under a cloth. He checks the contents and discovers that it’s good-quality grain—identical to what the school should have had. Realization dawns on him: Shankar must have swapped the good grains meant for the school with bad ones. Saras is stunned that someone with a child of his own could endanger other children like this.
When the boy returns with his books, Saras composes himself and gently tells the boy to always remember that his parents love him. He then quickly leaves. The boy’s mother comes back and asks where Saras went. The boy tells her he left for some urgent work. She wonders why he had come. The child asks when his father will return, and she assures him he’ll be back soon.
At the Desai house, Vidyachatur and Badimaa grow concerned about Kumud. Badimaa wants to call her, but Kusum stops her, saying Kumud is in a meeting with the education officer and will call them when she can. She reminds them that Saras is handling things too, and there’s no need to worry.
