Kumud then asks how Ghuman ended up marrying Laxminandan. Sunanda cynically says that while the marriage happened, it was never about love for Ghuman—it was always about business. Kumud grows concerned and asks what kind of trap Ghuman set for him. Just then, the man returns with the hot water. Sunanda tells Kumud to call her family, saying they must be worried. Kumud searches for her phone, and Sunanda takes it from the man—only to drop it into the bucket of hot water right in front of her. Kumud is horrified. Sunanda’s tone changes completely as she coldly tells Kumud that once she likes someone, she never lets them go.
Kumud pleads with her, saying she trusted her and believed she wanted to help. Sunanda’s friendly mask slips entirely as she reveals that no one leaves her world without permission. She tells Kumud to forget her name, family, and everything she once knew—because now, she belongs to Sunanda. Kumud cries and tries to escape, but the door is locked. She begs to be released, asking what Sunanda wants from her. Sunanda just stares at her with cold cruelty and orders the man to take Kumud away—saying she’ll decide later what to do with her. As she’s dragged away, Kumud says she came to Chandni Bazaar only because she trusted Sunanda. The man, unmoved, says he only followed orders and locks Kumud in a room. Meanwhile, Saras continues searching, haunted by the moment Kumud left and the things she didn’t say. Kumud tries to open the window in the locked room. Saras blames himself for not stopping her, for not listening. Both Kumud and Saras cry separately, full of regret. Kumud wishes she hadn’t lied to him, and Saras wishes he had been more attentive.
Elsewhere, Kabir tells Danny and Kusum that they’ve checked all the bus stops, but no one has seen Kumud. Danny suggests going to the police, and Kabir agrees—they all rush off to file a report. At that moment, Sunanda calls Ghuman and reveals that Kumud is with her. Ghuman is shocked and asks how she knows this. Sunanda tells her that Kumud came to uncover Ghuman’s past, and so she trapped her. Ghuman demands to know Kumud’s whereabouts and what Sunanda told her. Sunanda coyly says she didn’t reveal much and reminds Ghuman that she’s still a friend—then adds that Kumud has spirit, coming all alone to Chandni Bazaar.
When Ghuman questions Sunanda’s intentions, Sunanda coolly replies that Kumud will be taught to dance and sing. At that moment, Kabir enters the room, causing Ghuman to panic. She worries that he might have overheard the conversation. Kabir casually claims he just came back for his phone and smiles at her suspiciously. When she brushes it off, Kabir mentions that Saras and Danny have gone to the police and he’s joining them. Ghuman tries to act normal as he leaves.
At home, Guniyal tells Vidyachatur that Badimaa had been worried about Kumud since morning—now her fears have come true. Vidyachatur tries to reassure everyone that Kumud will return safely. Meanwhile, Kalika, hiding her wicked glee, thinks that Kumud’s absence would make her very happy. The rest of the family remains deeply concerned.
Locked inside the room, Kumud desperately tries to find a way out. She spots a window and works hard to break it open. After a struggle, she finally manages to break it and is overjoyed at seeing an opening.

Saras files a police complaint about Kumud’s disappearance. The inspector questions him suspiciously, asking if Kumud had an affair. Saras loses his temper, but the inspector coldly warns him that some husbands make their wives disappear and then pretend to be innocent at the police station.
