The episode begins with Kabir urging Saras to get into the car so they can search for Kumud. As they drive around, Saras is visibly anxious, and Kabir tries to reassure him, saying they will find her. He comments on how deeply Saras cares for Kumud and admits he’s never felt that kind of love for anyone. Curious, he asks Saras to share their love story. Saras, slightly distracted, explains that their marriage was arranged by his father, but at the time, he didn’t believe in marriage and wrote a letter to Kumud refusing the alliance. Kumud, however, responded with strength, telling him to come and say no to her face. Their first interaction was a video call—he couldn’t see her clearly but felt a strong connection. When they finally met, they fell in love. Though their marriage was fixed again, his fear held him back. He confesses that he’s always been afraid that anyone he loves will leave him—just like his mother did. Kabir suddenly hits the brakes, and Saras asks what’s wrong. Kabir brushes it off, saying they’ve reached the school.
Meanwhile, Danny is thrilled and thinks Saras and Kusum will be proud of him. He plans to surprise everyone with good news and even inform Kabir. But when he opens his suitcase, he’s stunned to find drug packets instead of the samples he expected. In disbelief, he reopens it, hoping he was mistaken.
Back at the school, Saras tells Kabir that Kumud didn’t show up and tries to call her. Just then, Vidyachatur calls, saying Kalika mentioned Saras had gone to look for Kumud, but Ghuman told him no one was home. Saras confirms that he searched everywhere with no luck. He assures Vidyachatur that Kabir is helping and they’ll continue looking. Saras then suggests heading to the market. They drive around, but Kumud is nowhere to be found. Saras insists they go to the police station, just as Kumud calls him. Relieved, Saras asks if she’s okay. She says she just got home and asks him to come back so she can explain everything.
Saras returns home and hugs her tightly. He’s upset and scolds her for leaving without telling anyone, especially when he was about to file a police report. When he asks where she had gone, she starts to say something but stops when Kabir walks in. She quickly lies, saying she had to go to school. Saras reminds her she didn’t even go there. She tries to justify it by saying she thought she’d be back quickly and didn’t want to disturb him.
Kabir takes his leave, and Saras thanks him for his help, telling Kumud that Kabir had even postponed a meeting to help find her. Kumud apologizes. Saras says Danny declined to help, claiming he had other plans, but Saras feels something’s off—Danny seems to be hiding something. Kumud promises to talk to Danny. Saras heads off to meet the investors, still worried.
Left alone, Kumud reflects on the lie she told Saras. She didn’t want to worry him until she had proof against Kabir. She’s determined to uncover the truth about Kabir and Ghuman. When Danny returns home, Kumud notices his tension and stops him. He claims he’s just tired and needs rest. Ghuman asks about his meeting, but he brushes her off and heads to his room with the suitcase. Ghuman quickly calls Kabir to ask what’s going on. Kabir assures her that things are moving as planned and tells her to trust him, saying that Danny’s pain is part of the process. Ghuman, however, isn’t fully convinced and begins to wonder what Kabir’s real intentions are with Danny.
In his room, Danny hides the suitcase and starts tearing the room apart, looking for something. Kumud walks in and is stunned by the mess. She repeatedly asks him what’s going on. At first, he insists it’s nothing, but she doesn’t let up. She urges him to open up, reminding him that their family stands together in times of trouble. Finally, Danny breaks down and tells her everything.
He explains how Kabir approached him with a project after Saras had dismissed his ideas. Danny trusted him, but when he opened the suitcase, it was full of drugs. When he confronted the man who delivered it, he was threatened—either take the money and go along with their plan or say no and risk jail time. They had taken photos of him with the suitcase as leverage and warned him not to tell Kabir. Danny admits that they even planted drugs in the house.
Kumud is horrified. She tells Danny they need to go to the police immediately and promises Saras will stand by him. But Danny is terrified the truth will hurt the whole family. Kumud scolds him for bringing the bag into the house, but he was too scared to think straight. She begins to suspect that Kabir might be behind this but knows Saras and Danny won’t believe it without solid proof.
Kumud insists they need to tell the police and encourages Danny to trust her and Saras. She reminds him that Saras would never let anything happen to him. Danny wants to wait until Saras finishes his meeting before telling him. Just then, Ghuman walks in, looking around at the messy room. She asks what’s going on. Kumud quickly covers, saying Danny misplaced a file and she was helping him look for it. Danny supports the lie and leaves.

Ghuman furiously confronts Kabir, accusing him of framing Danny in a drug scandal. She says she won’t let anything happen to her son. Kabir calmly says that Danny will return home by evening, but adds pointedly that Danny is Saras’s stepbrother—implying that might be the reason Ghuman shouldn’t trust even her own allies.
