Kumud comes downstairs carrying a bucket of clothes, but Yash’s mother immediately grows concerned and tells her not to exert herself. Kumud insists she’s fine and reminds her that she does this every day. Still, Yash’s mother gently tells her that she needs to start taking care of herself now. Meanwhile, Danny brings out a T-shirt that says “Soon to be Daddy,” proudly announcing it was Kabir’s idea. Everyone laughs and admires it. When someone asks what Kumud will wear, Danny shows a strap labeled “Soon to be Mommy,” which Guniyal says Kumud will surely like. Vidyachatur playfully calls these their gifts, even though Danny reminds him that it’s not time for a baby naming ceremony yet. Kumud, curious, asks what this talk about “naming” is. Saras walks in with medical reports, announcing that everything is normal now, which reassures everyone.

Kumud jokes that now no one can send her back to bed. Saras smiles but says he has something important to share. Vidyachatur encourages him to go on, joking that their lives are about to change. Guniyal, assuming the news is about pregnancy, says it must be the biggest joy for a couple. Kumud looks confused and asks what they’re talking about. Everyone teases Saras to make the announcement. Danny adds that he’s tired of being the younger brother. Vidyachatur jokes about his rivalry with Nandu doubling. Kusum says she’ll start shopping in the city for the new baby. Kumud is baffled until Danny hands Saras the T-shirt. Saras and Kumud look stunned as they read the messages. Kusum then puts the strap on Kumud, who still doesn’t understand. Danny proudly tells her it’s a surprise and that they already know the “good news.” But Saras quickly clarifies that everyone has misunderstood. Laxminandan prompts Saras to explain. Kumud calmly tells them she had food poisoning, and that’s why the doctor asked for some tests. The atmosphere shifts as everyone’s smiles fade. Danny, disappointed, asks if that means they aren’t becoming parents. Saras confirms it. Vidyachatur asks what the real news was, and Saras shares that he received a major business opportunity, but it requires him and Kumud to move to Mumbai for six months. He explains that the move will help make their factory well known. Kumud immediately objects, saying she won’t leave Ratnagiri and wishes he had told her earlier. Saras reminds her he was at the hospital all morning. Danny can’t believe Saras made such a decision. Saras explains that it’s a short-term sacrifice for long-term gain. Laxminandan argues that they can grow the business from Ratnagiri itself, but Saras insists the growth rate would be slower. He tries to convince them, but even Danny feels it’s too costly emotionally—they can’t imagine life without Saras and Kumud.
Kumud stands firm and walks away. Saras follows her, asking her to try and understand. She tells him they have everything in Ratnagiri—their home, their family—and wonders how they’ll survive alone in Mumbai. Back in the living room, Laxminandan vents his frustration. He doesn’t understand why Saras would even consider moving, especially now when the family has finally come together. Vidyachatur says Saras values family deeply, so this move must have a strong reason. Danny feels disheartened, calling it bad news. Kabir steps in, suggesting that perhaps Saras sees something bigger in this. Guniyal worries how the couple will manage alone. Kabir reassures her that Saras and Kumud will make friends and support each other. Danny worries about their father’s business. Saras then says Danny and Kabir can take over his father’s work. He encourages everyone to think about why this opportunity came now.
Sitting with Kumud, Saras gently explains his deeper reason. When Kabir was born, Saras had no idea they were brothers. Now that he knows, he wants Kabir to feel accepted. He believes that by working closely with Danny, Kabir will be able to bond with the family, especially Laxminandan. Kumud argues that they can still support Kabir without moving away, especially since the family has just come together after so long. She admits she doesn’t have the strength to separate from everyone again. Saras asks her to try and understand.
Meanwhile, Laxminandan and Vidyachatur are playing chess. Kusum notices Kabir lost in thought and jokes if he’s thinking about a girlfriend. She teases him, saying he looks like Saras’s brother and probably has someone. Danny joins in, saying Kabir can’t possibly be single, considering his style. Kusum adds that Kabir has a soft heart. Danny presses further, asking who the lucky girl is. Kabir denies everything. Danny jokes that if Kabir really is single, he can help find someone in Ratnagiri. He even teases Kusum, saying he had options before marrying her. Kusum playfully tells him to go to them then, and Danny laughs, saying he already got the best one. Laxminandan suggests they find a bride for Kabir. Vidyachatur and Guniyal enthusiastically agree. Danny jokingly adds that maybe this will help stop Saras and Kumud from moving away. Kusum urges Kabir to tell them if there’s someone already. Danny declares “Mission: Girl for Kabir” as Kabir looks on.
That night, Kumud is cooking with Yash’s mum. Saras comes in, compliments the food, and says they get this kind of chaat in Mumbai. Yash’s mum retorts that they won’t find home-cooked love in Mumbai, and walks away. Saras glances at Kumud, thinking hard. Kabir enters and asks what’s going on. Saras explains it’s about Kumud and then asks Kabir to help. He requests Kabir to play along and say “yes” to whatever he says. Saras raises his voice, pretending to chat with Kabir, hoping Kumud will overhear. He loudly says that he doesn’t get enough time with Kumud, so he thought moving to Mumbai would be a great way to spend quality time with her. Kabir joins in, saying Mumbai is ideal for couples. Kumud leaves the room in a huff. Kabir chuckles, saying she’s gone.
Saras then goes to Vidyachatur, who’s taking his medicine. Saras sweetly checks on him, then tries to win him over. He says he’s inspired by Vidyachatur’s dedication and sacrifices for the family, and now it’s his turn to make a similar effort. He promises to work hard in Mumbai and become an example for future generations. Vidyachatur jokes that first there needs to be a next generation. Saras laughs and reminds him this is about business, not babies. He asks Vidyachatur to talk to Kumud, but Vidyachatur chuckles, saying he couldn’t convince Kumud even in her childhood. Saras smiles and leaves, determined.
